The laboratory of Dr. Yun Zhou (https://ag.purdue.edu/btny/Pages ...750&intDirDeptID=10) in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University is looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic researchers to join the group. The research projects in the lab aim to determine the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying plant meristem development and stem cell homeostasis, through a combination of molecular genetics, live cell imaging, biochemistry and functional genomic approaches (Zhou et al., Nature 2015; Zhou et al.,Science 2018; Han et al., Nature Communications 2020).
The PhD position is available for Spring of 2023 (or Fall of 2023).The research assistantship of a PhD student provides fully financial support including the tuition waiver and stipend. English proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS) is required for non-native English-speaking international applicants. Students with BS or MS in plant biology or related fields, with great passionin studying plant development/cell signaling/ transcriptional regulatory circuits, are encouraged to apply. If you are interested, please email directly to Dr. Zhou (zhouyun@purdue.edu) the following documents: CV, a statement of research interests, and transcripts.
