Many people know how to attain success, but few know how to make the best use of it.

There is more truth in the assertion that taking advantage of the success is more important than the seccess itself. A successs, in my opinion, is no more than a certification of your endeavours in the past, and should not be viewed as the ultimate goal. Once you take the any success as a new scratch line, another success is waiting there for you.

To begin with,  the success itself is a double-edge sword which means when it offers us with the joy of victory, it carries with it self-complacence. So, it is very important to face and treat any success in a proper manner.  Unfortunately, most people tend to indulge themselves in the sense of achienement which inevitably deprives them of the rational minds and  self-possession, and make them stagnant and bogged down, ironically, in the trap of success. An apt illustration involves those government officials who corrupt. They are, from every aspect, successful in their fields, but their failure to hold their own in the face of fame and money definitely leads to their forferiture of all of these.

In the second place, when caution is required to envisage various kinds of success, at the same time, it is of equal importance to be aware of how to take advantage of the fruit of the success.There are numorous examples from the celebrities such as Thomas Edison. When people were extoling Edison for his bringing us the "light" and entitled his "a wizard", Edison was dovoting more money and energy in his further investigation. Untill the end of his life, Edison had patented over a thousand inventions which had greatly changed people's lives in retrospect including the motion-picture machine and the electric motor. More common phenomena exist in the modern field of economy. Successful enterprisers are inclined to invest what they have earned in an attemp to make more profits, which ostensibly  reflects their conception of success. In a sense, there should be no real success in a person's life,  each success is nothing but the capital for the next achievement. After all, what we do obtain is a great deal of experience, knowledge and of course fame and maybe fortune in addition to the intangible conception of "success" and it is them that really bring a person to the summit of his life. And as a matter of fact, more often than not, we should and are willing to "invest" more experience, knowledge and fame to obtain the "interests "of another success. This is where the essential of success lies.

To take it further, with the development of the society, there are more requirements besides merely take the advantage of a success for another. What we need is make the best use of it which means we are responsible to explore the profound effects of the achievement.  For example, a breakthough in the biotechnology may well pave way to a certain kind medical treatment, and a patant  should be considered whether it is possible to carry it out in a large-scale industral manufacture. With the development of the whole world, the meaning of success will be extended to a even broader degree, which means much more than the fame or achievement in the research nowadays.

In sum, it is a pity to let the achievement turn your mind and blindfold your eys. Only when we make the best use of the success and do not hesitate the step of improvement, can we achieve a greater success.
