昨天有点忙,贴晚了晚见谅
There is a growing public concern over practicality, the speaker in the title statement advocates that all powers and talents should serve the practicality. By contrast, some people may argue that we should also pay attention to unpractical things. I am inclined to the later opinion.
To begin with, in this practical age, practicality has indeed become a great idol in every field of our life. A case in point is the use of computer. The first computer named ENIAC was invented in Feb.14.1964. Using areas of 1,500 square kilo feet, weighted 30 tons. This computer was rather an elephant than a machine. Experiencing four generations, today's computer can be made as small as the onething put in onean adult's palm. Therefore, the size of computer promoted the widelyfar-flung use of information technology and of course is more practical. The same examples include the betterment of light lamp, telephone, automobile and the like. Practicality improved the standard of our daily life, thus去掉好不好 improving our efficiency of working and studying. If the implements around us were all unpractical but ponderous, then we probably wouldn't live in such a comfortable and convenience life today.
这如果建一段:If all powers and talents serve the practicality will lead to go extreme. Take the realty for example, with the development of the society we need more building. But if we put all powers and talents to build house, which will lead to invest badly…….
Meanwhile, unpractical things are not necessarily useless, in some sense, they play a significant role in human development. Let us take science for example, while scientific theory and technology can not be immediately put into practice, we should never undermine their values in that neither the possibility of putting them into practice in later time nor the interconnection between these theories and technology can be rule out.ruled out The early steam engine was laughed at by many people since it is heavy and insufficient. After Watt refined the steam engine, it can used in every field of industry. This illustrate these so-called unpractical things may turn out to be practical someday. Even if they never turn to be practicality, one still cannot regard it as little value. ChengJingrun's contribution to mathematics serves as a typical example. People called him madman because he worked on calculation day and night, and it useless for making no food, drink and money. But ChenJingrun prove the suppose of Goethe Bach and became world famous. Even if the number '1+1=2' was absolutely no use, his spirits of persistence and tolerance have influenced us profoundly.
To sum up, the practicality and impracticality both affect our society profoundly and mutually, thus we can not put either of them aside in order to pay more attention to another. Both of them should be served with powers and talents, and it is unfair to say unpractical things have little value in today's world.
