自己总结的一些名人例子+可能用到的地方（英文）

其实例子都是大家知道的，人也是名都出大发了的那种，而且例子主要来源与大部分人都看过的《GRE写作资料：名人生平》（不是书）我在这里只是挑了几个（大概有十几个吧）和题目比较接近的把他们的生平和题目联系起来，然后写出来，一来给自己准备一下资料，二来练练笔，省得一写ISSUE没东西可写，三来熟悉一下在电脑上写东西的感受（我打字很快但对着屏幕好象什么都写不出来），今天是第一天，写了一些，由于等一会要写同主题写作所以今天不能全写完争取早日完工。把它帖出来并不是想表现我多牛，看了就会发现我很菜！主要想提供这么一个思路，然后让大家帮我改一下，如果能对大家提供帮助（哪怕是一点点）我真的再乐意不过了！

Homer

Aristotle
Aristotle, who was the student of Plato and the teacher of Alexandria and had made tremendous classical fallacies such as the conclusion that the object which is heavier falls faster than the lighter one, the judgment that earth is the center of the universe and the like, contributes to the civilization of human beings in not only science----- Physics, Medical Care, Zoology, Botany----- but also in arts----- Logic, Metaphysics, as well. Thus science does not conflict with arts, generalist not with specialist, nor success with fallacy.
利用点：可以利用到很多方面，通才与专家，博学与专攻，科学思维对人文思维并不冲突，不一而足。

Columbus
Columbus, who was considered as the greatest adventure, thought he was finding a short route to India until his death, but discovered America. Columbus himself committed that the impetus that encouraged him to move on and on without despondency was the interest with the East depriving from Travels of Marco Polo in his childhood.
利用点：专家犯错误？兴趣对成功的影响？等等

Vinci
1. Vinci’s classical work-----Mona Lisa, which was considered the most mystery painting in the period Revival of Learning, even in the history of human being, set us an exact example that the most effective way to communicate the idea or value to large groups of people is through the use of images not language------- Mona Lisa’s mystery smile cannot be describe because it is beyond description as Venus’s beauty cannot be interpreted that whether it is due to her fascinating appearance or owing to her broken arm.

2. Science does not always play an essential role in all aspects of human life, even if not crucial sometimes, it, however, as an assistant, does not determine but contribute greatly to the success. Vinci is just an exact case in point. We cannot take granted that Vinci was interested in science, but he did research about the structure and proportion of human body by the theory of anatomise.

透视，光线等绘画理论，用解剖尸体的方法研究人体的比例和结构是80"All students should be required to take courses in the sciences, even if they have no interest in science."很好的支持证据，还有很多可以参考，毕竟此人是大牛。


Socrates
Socrates, great philosopher, who initiated a question-and-answer method of teaching as a means of achieving self-knowledge developed theories of virtue and justice which were in survival through the writing of Plato, his most esteemed pupil. We admire Socrates for his respect to law, whether evenhanded or not: he was sentenced to death after his endeavor for corrupting the minds of Athenian youth.
利用点：估计讲到LAW的差不多都可以用
Confucius
Confucius, Chinese philosopher, whose Analects contain a collection of his sayings and dialogues complied by disciples after his death, pointed that …..(就尽情往上编吧，想让他说什么他就说过什么，反正老美没几个人知道)

Michelangelo
Art, sometimes, can be upset. Take Michelangelo’s work for example. Michelangelo, a great painter, architect, as well as sculptor, during the ear of Revival of Learning, created in all his life, tremendous immortal work, such as David, Moses, what is most esteemed---- Sistine chapel fresco in the Vatican. 利用点：GRE好像有一个题目说什么科学让人安心，艺术让人upset之类的？老米基本上作品都是让人沉重和揪心的。 而且老米和老达不同的是他很注重想象创造力。

Shakespeare
Shakespeare, English playwright and poet whose body of works such as Hamlet, Othelio, King Lear and the like is considered the greatest in English literature, suffered a severe process that hardly can anyone else imagine to be great in the very inception. He took care of horses for the gentlemen, then gained the chance to enter into the theater as a reminder for the actors. But he did not give up at last due to a severe plague spot that made countless people lose their lives including some writers, he had the opportunity to be famouse.

Descartes
Some of the most profound thinkers of our time have the art of critical thinking by using two magic phases: I don not know and I suspect. Descartes is just an exact case in point. Descartes, as we know, a great philosopher, mathematician, physical scientist adverted a famous formulation: I think, therefore I am and had esteemed saying(and I paraphrase): To pursue the truth, one must suspect as many things during his or her life as possible.
利用点：我思故我在（怀疑论精髓内容），挑战权威等。153"Students should bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study. They should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively."
142"The well-being of a society is enhanced when many of its people question authority."
227"To remain vigorous, any academic field needs to be led by truly independent thinkers who are willing to ignore established boundaries and challenge long-standing assumptions."
