Issue230：College students—and people in general—prefer to follow directions rather than make their own decisions. Therefore, colleges should eliminate as many choices as possible in order to offer students clear direction.
题目分析：问题解决型。+因果关系，
因为我们减少选择->就可以提供明确的选择， 从而解决的问题是：帮助很多人不愿意作出自己的选择人找到 clear direction.

我原先的想法。
1，        这样做不可行，
2，        提出自己的观点，目前这种现象的确存在，如何解决它，不是减少而是增加，更多选择的优点是什么。
3，        仅增加也是不够的而是要引导， 告诉他们如何选择

我现在的想法
1，        这样做不可行，因为它无法给出一个更好的选择。
2，        这样做的后果是什么。
3， 让步在个别情况下是可以的

我有个疑问:如果是有保留的反对或支持,是不是最好把让步放在最后呢??

Is it necessary for the college to eliminate the choices in order to facilitate making decision in college? In my point of view, although, in some special cases, less choices and clear direction are needed, on the whole, the elimination of the choices of the students may be more harmful than beneficial to them.

Firstly, it is true that eliminating choices can offer clear direction for the students, but in most cases the direction given to the students may not be the best one. In my opinion, when colleges offer choices they ought to take most of the students' different though and distinctive conditions into account. But once they eliminate the chances to choose, it is possible that lots students can not find their favorable choices. For example, when it come to the selection of the curriculums, in order to give students more clear direction and then reduce their confusion about the selection, colleges may just ask students to choose between science and mathematic, but how about the students who prefer music or law? In this case, the limited choices cannot meet the demand of most students and then make it is more difficult for them to make their favorable directions. While, some one may argue that, in order to help students to choose, colleges can offer distinctive choice to different student according to their own situation. This opinion seems better to the students, but it is also unpractical for it requires the colleges to devote larger faculties and significant time to help every student to make choices, which means the larger budget hard to be afforded by the college.

Secondly, eliminating choices is harmful to the future development of the students. It is true that lots of college students and general people would rather follow certain directions than make decision by themselves for they need not be confused by the question: which one is the best, and, what is more, they should not assume responsibility for the consequence of the decision. However this question will always be faced in the future of their lives; and the responsibility should be assumed sooner or later. In my opinion all these ability should be instilled in the students when they are in college. and then  they can prepare the better development of themselves in the future . Once they enter the society, they will face more choices, without the ability they may the experience more confusion of the selection and therefore assume more remorse when the result turn out be a bad one.

Additionally, it is should be concede that in special conditions when the college professor are more experience and knowledgeable than the students. But the purpose is not to help students escape the hard question and the responsibility but to help them avoid costly result. For example, chemistry students must strictly follow proper laboratory procedures-or damaging equipment, or wasting their time. And the member of the football game should adhere to the command of the referee in order to guarantee the cooperation between different numbers and for fear of the loss in the game. In all these special cases, the clear direction is not only necessary but also desirable.  

In sum, although, in certain cases, clear direction is necessary, eliminating choices in order to alleviate the confusion of most people and meet their unreasonable need is not practicable and the result may be counterproductive. Every student should learn how to make use of their privilege to select and should have courage to accept the consequence of the selection.
