But here there is another problem related with them, that is what the role that mistakes play on the process of discovery and progress is. As far as I am concerned, mistakes play a significant role on the way to success, however, they are not the solely indispensable factor, others should not be omitted.

First of all, committing a mistake is a stepping stone to success. Realizing and undergoing mistakes can help us to revise or even cast the unreliable method to reach achievement and progress. Many great theories and invention are made through the way that committing a mistake, revising it, so repeatedly, finally achieving the success. In order to invent bulb, Edison did thousands experiments, unfortunately, he failed every time. Others asked him that' you got failure every time, what is you achievement?' Edison asked 'I knew thousands of materials that could not used to be filament' and continued his try. Finally, he invented the bulb and made great contribution to whole human being. That is the important type of making mistakes.

Beside, the spirit that is not afraid of mistakes can help us go ahead without any scruples. Heywood has said 'Nothing venture, nothing have. 'To venture is indispensable on the way to success. IF we fear making mistakes, we would stay in the familiar scope and could not obtain any achievement. Only by going ahead without any scruples of erring, can we make great breakthrough. Columbus believed that the earth is round and sailing west can also get to orient, but it is doubted by most of people, who believed the earth is a plane and sailing west would fall into abysm. Columbus was not afraid of committing the fatal mistake and started to voyage, he found the new continent in the end. Assuming that everyone fear the mistake that would lose his/her life, American would not been discovered.   

However, only having the courage to committing mistakes and owning the ability to make full use of errors are far from success. Other factors, like curiosity, solid fundament are also indispensable to the process of discovery and progress. When a apple fell on Newton's head, It was his curiosity to this minor event driving him to begin his research and he accomplished his study using his extensive basic knowledge through his hard work. If Newton did not own such merits and only had the courage to make mistake, how could he find the target to study? Even so, what  could he use to finish his research? Thus the other factors are as important as the mistakes on the way to make discovery and progress.

In conclusion, error is indispensable to success while it is not the exclusive key factor to make discovery and progress. 至于这篇文章，我觉得结构不错，论证也很有力，除了一点小毛病，我觉得不错，但不知道搂主到了考场上还能不能想起这么多的例子，呵呵！本人到现在还没背什么例子呢！
