Whether government should fund the scientific research whose consequences are unclear?  The arguer suggests that research either medical or ethical, should be fund even the consequences of which is uncertain.  As far as I am concerned, I insists that the money spend on research are valuable but the government should consider carefully when invest to a research.

In the first place, government should support scientific research in order to make progress in the overall society.  Nowadays, Scientifics and technologies are developing fast; every country should make their efforts to improve the living levels, thus, the investment to research is necessary.  Without scientific research, we may still live in a society that there is no electricity light, no automobile vehicle for traffic, no television for getting news and movies, no computer for further education.  And all inventions came from the researches which need the financial foundation, so government should take the most part of the responsibility to support the fund.  Besides, the enterprises and individuals should also pay attention to the research work which may benefit them in the future.

In the second place, much great achievement derived from the research which consequences are not certain.  And it is impossible for people to fortunate the consequence of a research.  On the one hand, through the history, Edison invented the light which tested for many times and no one can conclude that he would succeed before the first light come to the world.  But it is obvious that the investment to the test is valuable.  On the other hand, there are many researches that people could not assert whether the result is beneficial to society.  Such as the atomic weapon, which is a weapon of high dangerous but it ended the World War Two.  In medicine, the technology of colon is controversial, but it is the great achievement in genetic and be valuable in many medical affairs.

In the third place, we should admittedly that there are several researches whose consequence is really useless, and finance to it is not valuable.  The government should balance the utilities of the investment and consider carefully the government finical situations.  The ultimate goal of government is to lead the whole country to a prosperous future.

In sum, creations or inventions are the power to promote the development of society, which derive from the scientific research.  Generally, people could not certain about the result, but everyone should have the courage to face the defeat and it is the mother of success.  Meanwhile, it is important to consider carefully when invest to a research.
