Humanity has made little progress over the past century or so. Technological innovations have taken place, but the overall condition of the humanity is no better. War, violence and poverty are still with us. Technology can not change the condition of humanity.

Nowadays more and more people who work for the government turn their attentions into reconsidering the achievements made in the last century for helping the government get more progress in the future. However, some of them feel confused when faced with the fact that war, violence and poverty still existed. Hence, they including the speaker assert that Humanity has made little progress over the past century or so, and technology can not change the condition of humanity. In my opinion, I do not agree with this statement, because I think it is too arbitrary to judge whether the humanity has made progress only according to the data mentioned above.

Admittedly, war, violence, and poverty still exist, and especially prevalent in some areas in the west of our country, but this is not to say that I support the speaker's opinion. I think the humanity has not only made great progress, but also harvested many cherished experiences which can help us a lot in future in the past century..

Firstly, the war although exist, happened less often. After reviewing the history in the first half of the 20th century, we see that there were lots of wars in all kinds which were so hard for us to count exactly, and merely the world war happened twice---the only two times in the human history. However, the number of the wars had greatly decreased in the nearest fifty years, and most of people were living in a peace life which was surely be envied by many people in the first half of the 20th century. In addition, let us see the loss of the war, especially the casualty. We should not deny the truth that the number of casualty is less than before with the development of the technology, for the fact that the high-technology weapon had greatly decreased the innocent injured. And the use of unmanned planes also reduces the risk of damage in the wartime. In a word, the loss of the war happened in the nearest 50 years is much lower.

Secondly, with the improvement in the biology field, the technology of DNA was used as an important method to distinguish the crime. And the probability of finding the crime and the precise extent of the judging put great pressure in the crime's heart. In the other aspect, this had greatly reduced the happening of the violence. Hence, we can see the fact that, although the violence exists, it is much less than before.

The same thing happened in daily life, the quality of life is much higher, and people do not worry about the eating, sleeping, or the other daily trial any more which were always troubled people in the past. Furthermore, some people put their wage into buying the excessive goods, studying, commonweal actions and etc., yet not only use in the pure living.

Moreover, the humanity is not only the phenomena mentioned above, it contains many other aspects, such as the comfortable level of the life, the life expectancy and so forth, we know that with the development in medicine and the new technology in the automatism, it has also had great improvements.

To sum up, the technology has changed the world a lot, and put it in the right way. However, I want to say that, the war, violence, poverty, although decreased, will exist for a long time. These problems can not just solved by the improvement of the technology which can really make the humanity have a great progress in the past century. The progress of the people’s thought is also important, therefore, we should enhance our ability of thought when devoted to the research about the technology.

这段似乎没有很好的论证，有了ＤＮＡ鉴别方法，的确能很好的找到罪犯， 并且可以对罪犯产生一定的震慑，但是论述太少了，而且应举一个例子为好。

感觉结构蛮凌乱的，估计是限时写的吧。感觉上应该把admittedly的那段让步放到最后面来，说必须承认的是，现在世界上许多地方仍然存在着战争暴力和贫困，但是世界的总体水平在增长，而且经过若干年的努力后，这些问题一定会解决with the help of high technology.

A 精确制导 减少了无辜的伤亡
B 无人飞机 减少了士兵的伤亡
…… 这方面我不大了解，只想到了这两点，你还有什么好的想法吗？
