As the society changes so rapidly, the education of children is becoming more and more important because they will take on the task of building a more prosperous and harmony society when they grow up. What kind of education would bring about the most effective result? Is that providing specific education to meet the individual needs and interests of each student? The answer, in my opinion, is definitely no.

To begin with, whether the specifically designed way can help students to learn knowledge is open to doubt. In the first place, children's learning is always aimless, the learning process isn't systematic. Therefore, without instructions from educators, children can not learn well. In the second place, most of interests of children are whims that can not last long without plans and guidance. Thus, it's dubious whether they can persist in their interests. In addition, young students lack the capability of judgment. Unless they have the ability to tell the right from the wrong, we shouldn't let them to study what they want to learn.

Moreover, an important goal of children's education is to help them to get together. The ability of getting along with others is very crucial for human beings living in such a constantly changing society. In modern society, every person has limited knowledge and envisions, so they can't achieve any challenging goal by themselves, but through cooperation, coordination as well as negotiation with others. If children are let to study only what they are interested in, they will have no sense of other learning fields and no chance to interaction and communication, saying nothing of the ability of getting together. Without the ability of getting together as well as cooperation, the hope of building an ideal society is just a dream that is impossible to be achieved.

Last but not least, letting the young students to learning what they are interested in can not develop students' learning to be. Generally learning to be includes issues such as the attitudes toward society, life, value, etc., which is a very fundamental objective of education. Young students can not develop a healthy sprit and ingenuous personality if students are agreed to learn what they needs since such attitudes can only be got by young students through moral education, interaction, discussion, or even debating. To help children to develop an ingenuous personality and healthy attitudes, some kind of education courses, such as moral education, should not be neglected but need to pay enough attention. At the same time, young students should be open to the society and other disciplines.

To sum up, although letting young students to learn what they needs and are interested may help them, to some extent, to  learn more professional knowledge, this kind of education is far from effective. In such way, young students may fail to learn to know, to get together as well as to be. To let the young students more adaptive to the rapidly changing society, some other ways of education, such as moral education, should be pay enough attention.
