When we talk about the socialization of children, some people hold this viewpoint that how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. As far I am concerned, I support this idea and the socialization of children is indeed of great importance to the destiny of society. Meanwhile, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society though we are striving to.

To begin with, children are the future of human and their development determines the destiny of society. When a new life was born in the world, he became a necessary part of society. It is no suspicion that he must be socialized, or he cannot survive in human society. Society is a large team and anyone must learn how to exist in this team. Anyone being isolated has no chance to connect with others, so he cannot learn the surviving skills. When it comes to the society, if the children are not well socialized they would not take on the responsibility of establishing the future society, and we can imagine that the destiny of society would be frightening. Therefore, how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society.

How to socialize the children? From ancient times to modern times, people are striving to solve out this problem. Parents, faculties, and social government   should all be responsible for this task. When one was born, parents taught him how to walk, how to speak, and some other basic surviving skills. Language let them communicate with their parents, friends and teachers. Gradually, child was taught morality, persistence, diligence and honesty. And all these good personalities are beneficial to individual development and make children survive better in contemporary times. When children came to school, children are imparted knowledge and experiences. These knowledge supply the children of way of recognizing the society. After entering into the society, children learn how to communicate with others, cooperation, coordination, and competition. All of these are the process of socializing our children.

Unfortunately, though we strive to socialize our children, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society. Inspecting into the society, we sense that the standards of morality is decreasing, besides, there are all forms of crimes such as stealing, robbery, killing in our modern society. These are the failure of socializing the children, because these actions do not conform to the requirement of socialization, which break the rules and threaten the stability of society. Therefore, human should perform more effective measures to socialize our boys and girls.

To sum up, children are the future of human and their development, socialization have intimate relation with the destiny of society. Though we have some weak points in the way of raising and socializing children, we should have confidence to improve our methods and best raise our children.
