The study of an academic discipline alters the way we perceive the world. After studying the discipline, we see the same world as before, but with different eyes.

With the rapid development of science and technology, the world changes fast and inevitably. Do people hold the different views compared with the past? The speaker's assertion is affirmative. Similarly, I agree with the speaker's viewpoint that knowledge alters the world and people's eyes at the same time as well.

To begin with, knowledge is the source of human civilization. From the very beginning of human history, people begin to realize and research the abstruse world. Our precursors had learned how to use fire thousands of years ago. As a result that everything changed a lot. The food is also the same as the unknown fire age’s food whereas the taste is overall different from the raw food. Meanwhile, great inventions also alter the world and develop human civilization. With the invention of paper, people did not need to record on the stone and can take with the record easily.   Even today, new knowledge and technology generate everyday. They facilitate the human life and spur the human civilization. Through learning that knowledge and discipline, people improve the world with tremendous speed and effect.

Furthermore, human can perceive the world well through learning those disciplines. The discipline today varies extremely detailed and complex from art to history, from humanity science to engineering. Every discipline functions in its specific field. Then people can reach a deep level in each discipline. It helps us to comprehend the nature of the world and reveal the mysterious and unknown area of earth. We may know that what compose the land and surface in the deep of the ocean through analyze the sample brought by the submarine. Through seek the discipline about astronomy people begin to understand the outside space phenomenon. We have successfully sent numerous scientists and spacecrafts into the cosmos. Thus learning and comprehending the distinct disciplines helps us to perceive the world clearly.

Finally, the discipline makes us to recognize the world again but with different eyes. In the past, owing to the knowledge and technology limited, people could not understand some strange phenomenon of the nature. In medical area, some disease was terrible and astounding while it is easy and convenient to cure such horrible disease today with advanced medical methods. The development of disciplines alters the world from time to distance. The conception of time is absolutely changed. In the past, it may cost people a whole week to travel from one city to another city. However, the advanced contemporary instrument such as airplane can circle the earth in one or two day. Meanwhile, the internet also shortens and cuts the distance of people in the world. Then people may not take the distance and time as a huge problem in the communication. Based on the instrumental invention brought by new disciplines, people hold different view from their predecessors.

In sum, from what have been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that the study of an academic discipline alters the world, and more important is that they alter people's view to the world.
