Issue44 第15篇 让砖头来得更猛烈些吧!
Government should not fund any scientific research whose consequences, either medical or ethical, are unclear.
---------------------------------
In this rapid social and technological society, the crucial role scientific research plays is becoming more and more manifest. Without it , today, we may still struggle with the famine and poverty. Also, we should thanks to the government in that its fund is necessary to every scientific research breakout. Indeed, the scientific research is inexorable to bring some negative effects on human beings. Today there is a debate over the issue of whether the Government should fund any scientific research whose consequences, either medical or ethical, are unclear. As far as I am concerned, I prefer to hold that the government should be in support the scientific research for the following reasons./支持题目的观点是支持吗  提出了自己的观点。
The threshold reason why I support it is that the consequence of any scientific research is unclear, even unknown of what will happen, at the start of the research. As we know that, the scientific research is a process of exploring and revealing the unknown world of the nature. At the beginning of the research, the scientists always establish myriads of assumption and hypotheses, then they try their best to test theses assumptions by conducting a great many of scientific experiments. At a period of their research, the scientists may rule out most of the assumptions and the results are becoming clear and the orientation of their research is becoming certain, then they may announce the world their recent innovation or breakthrough in the certain fields. In this sense, we can know the consequence of the scientific research. In addition, the scientific research is also an arduous course of ceaseless endeavors and gradual accumulating knowledge for paving the road for the future scientific research. The knowledge and experience, brought by the precursors, is crucial for any fields of scientific research. Therefore, it is obvious that the former scientific research is vital for any future research. /任何科学的最初都是探索的研究,更本不知道结果是怎样;同时也是知识的积累阶段为后面的研究打下基础。这个论点不错!
What's more, the scientific research plays an important role in the human daily life today, either in the fields of production or daily life. With the rapid social and technological advancement, the society requires the pace of production much faster than ever before. By virtual of scientific research, the circulation of the production is significantly shortened. In the latter of last century, human have created thousands times the material wealth than the former centuries. A good example can be found in this case is that the assemble-line is created by the scientific research./生产周期缩短,解决各种社会问题,整个社会受益
Admittedly, the some of the scientific research will bring unexpected consequences to some extent, either medically or ethically. Some one may cited the scientific research. That's the reason why some one may suspect the scientific research of the biotechnology such as the cloning to support their opposition.some用得多了,有点别扭 Actually, the scientific research is objective and neither good nor evil by itself, but what matters is how human beings react and response to it. It is apparently that the cloning is a great breakthrough in the history of human scientific research, which will exert significant influence in the human life of the future by solving the food supply and organ transplantation. On the other hand, some scientists may use this fruition to create human, which will certainly bring ethical problems. In a word, as is so often pointed out, the scientific research is a double-sword, which can either be used for good or evil depended on human beings.论述得不错! /有些研究是会引起争议的,但是关键是人们怎么对待他,研究的本身没有错
In conclusion, take all the factors into account, we can safely arrive at the conclusion that government should fund any scientific research. After all, the research is indispensable for any human progress. 结尾有力。
