7 The video camera provides such an accurate and convincing record of contemporary life that it has become a more important of documentation than written records.

Video camera, emerging as an increasingly ordinary way for convincing documentation, does exist helpfully. But a comprehensive comparison demonstrates written record’s unshakable significance on its accuracy, its more widely use and other factors in contemporary world.

Undeniably, records by video camera are more convincing on objectivity and vivid depiction than by written. On one hand, since written records may be exaggerated or diminished by writer, the subjective creature, vidio camera documentation, which can not be revised once recorded in tapes or digital memory unless wholly deleted, overwhelms written record in this round. Suppose without the precious images of the cruel misdeeds towards guiltless Chinese by Japanese military troops, how can our descendants know the reality?  Even the history education book has not escaped from being tampered by Japanese for their blind nationalism, let along other written records. On the other hand, video record serves more vivid and virtual images and sounds even motions which can not be accessed by written record. For instance, thanks to video camera, we can deeply involve into the fantastic travel without air ticket consumption.

Nevertheless, as for accuracy, which proves to be a hard job for video camera, written record is intrinsically good at fulfilling it. Moreover it plays an unique role on documentation of abstract world which can not be competent by video camera. In the realm of science and technology, even the researchers on video camera technology, have to abandon their favor, instead, write down the accurate numbers and logical reasoning process on papers. In the realm of politics and social affairs, no one will document the law clauses and government policies by video camera. In the realm of economy and business, it is too far away to record GDP or exchange rates by video camera.

Furthermore, to compare the importance of the two methods, other criterion including the convenience and economy of recording, salving and indexing even destroying should also be considerate, apart from the standards on what the speaker asserts. Since in contemporary society, not only are memory devices and video cameras more difficult to take away, but the costs are also much higher than papers and pens.  

In sum, the advantages of video camera on recording objective and real-time scenes and actions can not weigh the strengths of written records on accuracy and invisible field, moreover, they can not cover their weakness of inconvenience and high cost determined and constrained by contemporary technology.

首先，对于VC的客观性需要一定的限定，而我觉得你说的比较绝对，这样不好，不容易证明，因为，摄像的人的主观思想也是可以影响VC的记录的。而且，你举的例子不好。你说的是image，照片，而不是录像吧。


B2的问题在于，你举出了现象，没有说明本质的问题，为什么抽象的内容不能被VC表达呢？

B3的花销问题你想用来证明什么呢？
