Currently, the issue whether it is necessary to develop a global university to solve the world's most persistent social problems is under fervent discussion. Opinions vary from person to person due to respective angles. In my point of view, I support the founding of a global university notwithstanding the possible existence of some problems.

To begin with, a global university is beneficial for the further communication and understanding among all the nations around the world. It is known to all that some problems in the contemporary world are generated from the difference and misunderstanding of cultures among diverse nations. If a global university is founded, students from every corner are able to meet at the same place and they can communicate, share their opinions, discuss the worldwide problems according to their own value and gradually, they will get more acquainted with the distinct forms of ideas and thought in other nations. When they returned to their own countries, they are able to convey different cultures to the public and promote the understanding of other nations. Hence, the misunderstandings among the nations will diminish. Moreover, the nations will possibly influenced by the foreign cultures and the speed of globalization will increase.

In addition, some world's most persistent problems are common world widely, which cannot be solved with the alone effort of a country separately but call for a cooperation of each nations. Such problems as environmental protection, terrorism, race conflict, the worldwide inflation, how to safely deal with the nuclear weapons, how to promote the average living level of the Africa and so forth, cannot be perfectly solved with the power of only one nation or two. Actually, most of the problems are concerned with all of the countries of the world; therefore, the human being should make effort as a whole to struggle for the way to deal with these problems. In this case, a global university is a good step. All of excellent students throughout the world ,as the represents of their own country, take part in the global university ,propose their respectively innovative opinions and take the responsibility to solve the world's most persistent social problems, which will offer a more effective and efficient way for the solution of the worldwide problems.

Admittedly, there will possibly exist some problems in developing a global university. first, the foundation to run a global university will be a large amount, which is not possible for every country to afford. In this case, to promote the development of the world, those developed countries should actively participate in the project and offer more money; second, although the global university will provide many intelligent experts to solve the worldwide problems, there is no guarantee that the solutions will be adopted by every nation. It is likely that some countries consider the measures will impede the interest of their own.

To sum up, although there may be some difficulties in the access of the global university, it is beneficial for the human being. Therefore, I support the founding of a global university.
