Nowadays, the modern computer can finish algebra computing millions of times faster than a human being, and the modern machine can product cars and other manufacture with efficiency thousands times of human's. Inspired by these facts, someone might believe that machines are superior to human mind and they are going to replace the position of human beings. However, a detailed analysis shows that this opinion neglects to consider many flaws of machines and thus wrongly claims the machines are superior to human mind. What's more, with our best knowledge in the current stage, the machine can only help human beings as the tools instead of replacing the position of human beings.

Since the beginning when machines come into existence, machines are created as the tools of human beings. Neither early machines nor recent powerful computers have their own intension. The machines, even automatic might they be, in the factories cannot decide to make production its self. It is the workers that make the order to run the machine or stop it. The computers, even processing deliberate programs, just perform the schedule set by the human beings. Although the recent computers can judge under different conditions, they are not decide their deeds by themselves. On the contrary, they just work in the standard ordered by the human. In this sense, machines are created as tools and do not have their own desire or intensions so that they are less superior to human mind.

During the stage of developing, a fact that is supposed to strongly support argument that machines are superior to human lies that machines are improved so much and getting more and more powerful. Take a look at the modern planes and modern computers, which have changed so much since they were created and have some powerful ability that human being cannot achieve.  Some one might imagine that machines can keep on developing until they are powerful enough so replace human beings. However, the improvement of machines is based on the effort of humans. Machine cannot learn from the experience or make creative thinking, which is the most important difference between human and machines.  Although some intelligent scientists are studying how to let the computer to learn by itself, the computer doesn't understand the meaning of what it learns but adjust the function of itself. It is quite different from the function of human's "learning". It is the engineers, scientists and other people but not machines themselves that push the developing of machines.  In this meaning, human being is superior to machines.

At last, machines cannot fulfill all the functions of human beings. Although they are powerful in objective areas such as calculation and manufacture, machines are very powerless in some subjective functions. Machines cannot write novels, enjoy music, or create a great paint. They are good at simulating instead of creating. These abilities determine the use of machines as just the tools of human beings instead of entering every area of human life.

In sum, it is human beings that create the machines, improve them and use them. Although machines are becoming more and more powerful, they are just tools for human beings and can never be superior to machines.
