Nowadays a large number of people trust astrology and fortune-telling, and believe that these will help bringing good luck to them. Even some of them claim that these inquiry methods are vital for society. However,in my point of view, while lacking stable technology bases and evidence supporting them, these areas invariably predestine to be only small entertainment games.


First of all, as to the society as a whole,while technology contribute a lot to enhancement on human's living condition, non mainstream areas of inquiry actually has no effect on productivity promotion. It is widely accept that technologies are vital for our society for they effective improvement on our productivity and thus provide us a better life; social sciences are vital for our society for they contribute a lot for solving social problems, arts are vital for our society for they bring beauty and ways to appreciate beauty to our daily life. On the other hand, strange as it may sound that inquiry methods have significant contribution to human society. While it is dreadful to image a society without technology, social science or arts, a society without inquiry methods is acceptable for a majority of human.

In the second place,as to the personal success of individuals, these methods only satisfy people in mind instead of bringing real success to them. While moral stands as honest and amiable, knowledge in many area and characters as diligence or ambitious are all sequential elements for one's success, inquiry methods are not testified to bring any contribution to one's success. While various famous person attribute their success to diversity elements, none of them consider inquiry method to be the reason for their achievements. In a highly developed society as ours, it is absurd to believe the magic of inquiry methods.

Further more, it sometimes make tremendous harm to people who believe in it. For inquiry methods are often invented without rational analysis or verification, it is potentially contradict many object rules of our world and has the possibility to distort one's mind. If astrology tells you that you have bad luck this month and you had better not launch big actions, would you give up a valuable chance for promotion recently? If you believe it, you are a victim of it. For another instance, if you are the son of devil according to astrology, would you kill yourself for a relief? Further more, even all the bad telling are erased from inquiry methods, the good fortune forecast is also harmful. They make you amazed in waiting for fortune and diminish your ambition, which sharply harm your creativity.

While education provides nutrition for our body, mind and soul, inquiry methods only produce toxic material for our mind. While accept inquiry methods as a kind of entertainment is bearable, it is far too consider it to be a fundamental element of our society.

感觉楼主可能ARG写的比较多一些，呵呵，所以觉得批驳好写一些，而且还可以套用一下ARG的结构。不过我觉得ISSUE更注重去仔细分析问题之间的正面和反面，以及里面的联系。用一个严禁客观的态度去对待问题，而不是仅仅的批判。楼主的文章在批驳方面不错，如果能做到通篇考虑则更增色不少。 建议看一下鬼鬼的 ISSUE41的提纲，相信对楼主帮助很大
