We are living in a world that there are tens of thousands things taking place around us. Some of them we have already been capable to render a convincing explanation, but the rest of them is still out of the reach of our comprehension. And the study of an academic discipline, is just the way through which our way to perceive the world changes. While before the study we may not be able to comprehend the world successfully and completely, sometimes even wrongly, after that we have a new vision.

There are many circumstances under which we cannot comprehend things that are happening around us correctly and completely, since we cannot have all the knowledge needed at a time. For example, while there was not significant development in the field of astronomy, people were intended to perceive the phenomena of solar eclipse as an action by a mysterious animal living in the universe that eats the part of sun suddenly disappeared. Mean citizens may accept this point of view well, but someone else may ask: how can there be animal living in the universe? At this time, those people were started to make deep research of astronomy. In a word, phenomenon that cannot be explained well leads to the study of a specific academic discipline.

Along with the process of study of a particular academic discipline, there are always new discoveries, which challenge the way established we perceive the world. Based on the new findings and knowledge gained through the study, we find that sometimes things are there so different from we thought they should be in the past, or sometimes they are even more profound than whatever they looked like from the appearance.

Sometimes we are thinking that what we have already learned about the world is not sufficient, and further study in some academic disciplines may help deepening our view of the world, having a much more accurate vision of the world. For example, while the Newton classic physics can be applied well when we are concerning the action of some objects and the interplay between them, the discipline of which does not conform to the experimental results regarding the same motion and interrelation of those much smaller particles, such as atoms or neutrons. This triggers some of the most competent physical scientists to have a close look at what is happening inside the atoms. Bohr, the famous physical scientist from Denmark, found out the approximate pattern of the movement inside the hydrogen and open the door to the Quantum Physics, which descript the movement of the microscopic particles. The discovery and development of the Quantum Physics is regarded as one of the most far-reaching revolutions in the field of physics in the 20th century, and it has deepened our view of the world to the place where there are only basic particles which make up the whole world.

The study of an academic discipline not only offers us a deepened view of the world, it also sometimes alters the way we perceive the world. With the devotion and existing knowledge of many scholars and researchers as input, there is chemical process taking place during the process, and the output is the new way we comprehend the world. Take the solar eclipse mentioned before again as an example. With the development of astronomy, people are coming to realize that the past explanation about this phenomena is totally wrong. Now every person who has received some extent of education knows that this phenomena is caused by the movement of the moon. When it turns around into the position between the Earth and the Sun and thus hampers the beams of light emitted from the sun and therefore makes the part of sun unseen. Now there are many times that solar eclipse happens, but people knows that it is not a mystery, but a scientific phenomena. Thanks to the study of the astronomy, we are capable of correcting our previous wrong view, and further obtaining a new and right point of view.

There is no doubt that many things will still take place in the world, it is something that will never change. What matters and will be changed is the way through which we interpret them. With the study of some particular academic discipline, we are able to step forward everyday, waking up finding that the world is again showing something new before us.
