In this era of rapid growing global money market, nearly every company holds the profits as an idol, a solitary goal to go out for. It is undoubted and natural for the company executives to gain money as much as possible for companies within the bounds of the law.

The threshold power driving the executives forward to the money is the profit maximization within the law. After all, in profit-oriented companies, the contribution to the profits is regarded as the grades of the executives, similar in the grades to students in schools. And the profits relates to the salary of an executives as well as any other workers. Thus it is undoubted that everybody should keep running for maximized profits. No profits mean no augment in salary or promotion, or even no jobs. One can look no further than at the abundant news thronged in television, newspapers and magazines that even the famous executives, the CEOs, no matter what an enormous contribution once they give to the prosperity of companies, will resign or be resigned for no effective policy or other means to produce more profits immediately. In short, these executives should keep in mind to pursue profits as maximal as possible within the bounds of the law.

Additionally, the pursuit for money of companies within the laws will benefit the customers and the society. More executives and companies involve into the pursuit for money, more compelling the competition is, resulting that better products and services the customers will get with lower services. And the maximizing profits of the companies with more industries participating into the competition will inevitably raise the wealth of the stockholders and the prosperity of the society for at least the increasing demand and supply of the job opportunities as well as the growing living standards.

Even though the executives lead the companies to participate in the public services, the ultimate goal is also to more money. The participation in the public services, or the responsibilities to the social problems, in the other ways, is to beautify the image of the companies and to draw the attention from the public and the customers. After all, an industry involves into the environmental protection, a company devotes much to the social charity, philanthropy groups, a corporation participates in the improvement of the social education system, the conditions of the communities, will more or less give an good impression in the customers' mind. Even though the participation in the public services will is costly at the expense of part of the money of a company, compared with the good public image and the future greater profits, the cost is deserved. Whatever, a company should not only pay attention on the immediate profits, but also to future ones, which means the sustainable development of a company.

In sum, I will accept the view point of the speaker that the executives' sole responsibility is to gain money as much as possible. After all, it is the company's nature in the profit-oriented society as well as the need for development of the company. And the pursuit of the money within the bounds of the law is also the human nature not only for the promotion but also for the survival and better living standards.
