Topic: As scientists concentrate more to the development of our society than other people, science student should get more financial support from the government than other student get, do you agree?

Some people support funding science students, as they believe scientists contribute more to development of society than other groups. Personally, I don’t agree with that statement.

It is true that scientists play a significant role in scientific and technological area from past to now. However, things have been changed from time to time. Not all scientists are so brilliant that bring benefits to human beings in such complicated world. Some of them are keen on explore more methods to produce drugs or deadly weapons for great lucrative aim, which will lead to the negative influence and even threaten the citizens; some of them are hired or controlled by a certain organization, as a result, what those intelligent scientists do just cater for the appetite of a small proportion other than the whole society.

On the other hand, is it definitely that a science student will become a scientist in the near future? The answer is rather mixed. To become a scientist, the student should grab the opportunity and also pay individual effort, but if a student changed his/her ambition and shifted to another kind of job, such as did business, the meaning of support him/her would became pale.

As far as I concern, it is necessary to define what sorts of financial support should be supply to science students. If the finance is used for doing scientific experiments, it should be advocated. Compared with that, it would not be essential if the amounts of money were used to support private expenses unless the science student contributes great to the society and our nation.
