In this topic, the speaker asserts that there is not purely objective observation and all observation is subjective because it is always guided by the observer's expectations or desires. With the further consideration I think that observations have both objective and subjective these two kinds and we should deal with those respectively.

First of all, there are some purely objective observations existing. As we all know, some observation are made in such conditions as just recording the detail of the fact and every experiment data of scientific researches, in these cases they do not necessarily need some more thought and consideration and the result will not change according to the observer's expectations or desires. For example, in the biology experiments, the researcher need to record the number of the cells living in the plate and draw a curve finally, under the microscope, the number of the cells is clear to see and will not change if the researcher expect it to be much more, and data will not cheat you is the rule in academic research because the result should be repeated and examinated, so the result is purely objective. In some conditions, any expectation or desire of the observers is excrescent.

Secondly, it should be admitted that some observations are subjective, especially in the art and some other fields. Take the art appreciation for instance, the value and observations are constructed on the basis of the direct seeing and imagination in the later action in the brain. This is why there are nine image after the observation of the Venus with broken arm( the great artistic work of old Greek), someone think Venus is pouring water from the pot on the arm, while others think the Venus is holding a baby in her arm. Apparently, everyone has his own imagination and expectation added in the observation when he looks at it, and these observations are subjective.

In addition, some field seems objective like justice or law may also give some subjective observation. It is so funny that a lot of lawyers in Amerca wants their client to be formal and good appearance when he is standing in the court, the reason is that some of the jury even the judge will value at the people from the dressing and appearance without self-conscious, and it more or less affect the judgment of the case.

To sum up, observations have both objective and subjective these two kinds and we should deal with those respectively.
