------题目------
The video camera provides such an accurate and convincing record of contemporary life that it has become a more important form of documentation than written records.
------正文------
Nowadays, we have already been in the age of electricity which brings us many electrical types of equipment such as video camera. The video camera can record the contemporary life in a precise and convincing way. Then, is it true that video camera has become more important than the written records when we concern of the form of documentation as the speaker contends? I fundamentally agree with speaker's claim in following reasons.(个人觉得在这里补充一下你倒数第二段的观点会比较好~~西西)However...
In the first place, video camera is more accurate in documenting historical events. For example, on October 1st 1999, the 50th National Day of P.R of China, a ceremonious dress parade was held on the Tian An Men square. Millions of people in the world watch the grand ceremony through the television. Then how can it be screened? Obviously, camerists use the video camera to record this spectacular scene. If we use words to document it, it is clearly that this form isn't vivid enough for us to sense the aura of parade. Also, in the spot of 9.11 Event----a horrible and shocking tragedy, some witnesses and reporters use video camera to register the terrible procedure to caution people to struggle with the terrorism. When we try to use language to record it, it may not be so lively to warn the people around the world to fight against the terrorists.(恩~~有人说象9.11这种事老美不喜欢,能换就换 )Thus, video camera can help us to memorize the historic moment more vividly.
In the second place(西西~可不可以用not only...but also...来体现一下顺接性), in the games and tournaments on live broadcasted by the television, video camera is more vivid and exact. When broadcasting a NBA game by television such as ESPN, for instance, we can enjoy the graceful performance of Allen Iverson. We can clearly see him dribbling the ball, rushing into the inside area and finishing with a strong dunk. If recording by written word such as broadcasting on line in word which we can often find on the SINA website, we only know Iverson scored two points with a dunk and how he dribbled the ball and rush inside are not given.
恩~~举例都很贴切的哈
Furthermore, in some other situations such as legal matters, video camera can (also) give us a convincing vision. For example, when someone drives beyond the speed limitation, our electrical eye will record it as evidence. The driver will be punished with no complaint. However, if a policeman notes it on the book, we cannot convince the driver of his/her illegal behavior. Thereby, video camera is a stronger evidence than written records.
Admittedly, video camera also has some limitations while written records have some advantages such as (at) the record of the data. In an enterprise, for example, accountant should make statistic charts everyday. How can he/she document so much data, using camera? Of course not. Video camera doesn't have the function of database. The statistic charts can be only written---may be typed---in words. In addition, in order to record the feeling we have everyday, many people like writing diaries. Apparently, diary is a form of writing words. I have never seen a person use video camera to record his sense which is too abstract. Thus, the form of documentation, written words , is still have some advantages in several special cases.
To sum up, if we want to capture(这个词~~恩不是很了解用法) some historical events or broadcast on live games and tournaments or storing the evidence of the violators, I recommend to use video camera. Nevertheless, when recording data or thoughts, one should use the method of written records.
