Because of television and worldwide computer connections, people can now become familiar with a great many places that they have never visited. As a result, tourism will soon become obsolete.
------正文------
Nowadays, with television and computer connections, we are accessible to information about places that we have never visited or heard of before. Controversy rises over whether tourism will soon become obsolete consequently. In my observation tourism, with its unique appeal and satisfaction, is irreplaceable and no where near becoming obsolete. Instead, television and the internet virtually help tourism into a boom.

Admittedly, television programs and the vast information base of the internet provide the audience with valuable information as well as photos and videos of the splendid scenery. Over the last decade, more and more attention has been given to TV programs related to tourist resorts. There are even tourism channels specially designed for the purpose of presenting audience with a visualized impression about places of interest and unknown villages alike. Similarly, the internet, with its distinct interaction features, allows surfers to search for information of the places they are interested in. There is no doubt that television programs and the internet challenge tourism, by providing viewers with things they might not be able to see even if they go for the journey themselves, like bird-eye-view photographs, close focus on dangerous animals and the like.

However, tourism can by no means be substituted for basically two reasons. Firstly, there are things that TV and the internet just can not substitute. No matter how vivid the images or videos of the grass and flowers are, they can not match the genuine experience brought by touching and feeling, with gentle breeze and warm sunshine accompanying. And how can you resist the temptation of tasting the delicious cuisine, which TV and internet are unable to bring around. In addition, only through meeting face to face with local people, can we truly understand their culture and way of living.

And we should understand that the aim of going on journeys is more than enjoying the scenery, tasting the food or experiencing the culture. More often than not, we just want to get some time off from our routine life and relax ourselves. It does not matter where we go or what we do and there could be no specific destination at all. We might want to take our time alone or share the nice time with our loved ones. Or, we might take delight in meeting new friends alone the journey and communicate with them our dreams and hopes. In this way, we find pleasure and comfort, get refreshed and prepare us for the work and study in the days to come.

Actually, not only can't TV or internet replace tourism, they actually help it thrive in some way. For one thing, it is these tourism programs and online information that introduce people to places that they otherwise haven't heard of. These programs guide the audience and help them to get familiar with the places. Besides, the more attractive the programs are, the more curiosity is awakened in the viewers. By getting exposed to the beauty and charm of a place again and again, few can hold back from adding it in the to-travel list. Therefore, the abundance of information from TV and the internet actually give tourists more impulse, with a wider range of choices.

In the final analysis, tourism, with its unique charm and attraction, will not be replaced by TV and the internet. Instead, as more information about tourist destinations and their cultural features, more people will go on journeys

Controversy rises over whether tourism will soon become obsolete consequently. In my observation tourism, with its unique appeal and satisfaction, is irreplaceable and no where near becoming obsolete[什么是主语]. Instead, television and the internet virtually help tourism into a boom.开头很好啊,有没有模板可套

There is no doubt that television programs and the internet challenge tourism, by providing viewers with things they might not be able to see even if they go for the journey themselves, like bird-eye-view photographs, close focus on dangerous animals and the like(类似的东西?呵呵,以前没见过啊).

And we should understand that the aim of going on(? go on是分开的?) journeys is more than enjoying the scenery, tasting the food or experiencing the culture. More often than not, we just want to get some time off from our routine life and relax ourselves. It does not matter where we go or what we do and there could be no specific destination at all. We might want to take our time alone or share the nice time with our loved ones. Or, we might take delight in meeting new friends alone(along?) the journey and communicate with them our dreams and hopes. In this way, we find pleasure and comfort, get refreshed and prepare us for the work and study in the days to come.

Actually, not only can't TV or internet replace tourism, they actually help it thrive in some way(extent?).

Instead, as more information about tourist destinations and their cultural features, more people will go on journeys 我爱寄托
