They way people appear often can reveal humans' personality. We grow up in the social circumstance, listen to and look at people we touched; gradually we affected by them and instill their ideas and values in our potential thought and behavior. In this sense, I concede that we can tell much about society's ideas and values by observing people. But the speaker overlooks other factors may undermine the conclusion.
Society is made of individuals. Humans’ idea and behavior directly led to social trend. The development of society keep pace up with human being’s realization. Consider, in one area, culture is accumulated by residents' idea and behavior in a lifelong process. You can see that they have a special way to express their feelings and moderation. Moreover, the customs pass on from one generation to another. At the same time, most parts of culture shape their own value system. Then, they will naturally behavior in common life. And that is a major reason why one person largely differs from another come from different counties. The people live in Europe largely differ from who live in Asia, at personal level, they will show different attitude on the same fact and have disparity in life style. After all, they have stayed in different society for a long time and shape different disposition and world view.
In another hand, there is important factors when it comes to we judge people by their appearance. The conformity always contains individual disparity. To a great extent, circumstance plays a key role to shape humans' personality, the more they stay in certain atmosphere, and the more they will be affected. Equally important, the fundamental of values of society requires a continuously observation and study. We rest on historic records and other statistical evidence which indicate the general society’s values. For instance, the backgrounds of society bring no influence to those helmets. Due to their life style, they basically have no touch with the people around them and have their own values. This phenomenon also occurred on those mavericks. Additionally, people study academic discipline will shape values in their own particular angle to perceive the world and do not influenced by society, because they have ability to recognize what is right and what is wrong. It seems that people who have independent idea behave reveals individual inherent morality rather than appear society's ideas and values.
Last but not least, with the rapid development of the world, the society becomes globalization. Fashion trends are not product of small area or country. By contrast, humans’ values and ideas more and more close in different country. Especially the youth, they always easily open their mind to accept fresh thing. Michel Jackson, a pop singer, to extent to which make adolescents in Europe or in Asia crazy. Let us take another example: a lady in Paris, a romantic country, may have aesthetic sense on clothes the same as another lady in China. A man in US, may like spicy food the same as another man in China. On balance, various aspects in humans’ values no longer single at all. Until some day when we look back to the past time, compared with our predecessor, we are not keep a traditional lifestyle any longer.
To sum up, a part of humans values may inevitably affected by society and other parts may not. How many social parts in humans' value system? It is hard to say in today's multiply culture trends.
