主要申请人需要准备的:
1.Copy of your passport;
2.Both sides of Form I-94;
3.Evidence of your current nonimmigrant visa status (such as I-20's);
4.Your degree certificates and evaluation report that your educational background is at least equivalent to a Master’s degree in the United States, if any;
5.All publications, presentations, abstracts, invitations to conferences;
7.Citations of your publications, if any;
8.Comments on your papers by referees of journals, if any;
9.Requests for reprints of your publications, if any;
10.Evidence of awards or honors received, if any;
11.Evidence of membership in professional associations, if any;
12.Documents on the funding of your research projects, or grant numbers, if any;
13.Documents of your participation, either individually or on a panel, as the judge of the work of others in your field, if any;
14.Newspaper articles about some of your reference writers, if any, in order to establish their authority in the field;
15.List of writers of the recommendation letters, including titles and employer; and
16.Your Curriculum Vitae.

主要申请人和配偶(家属)都需要提供的材料有:

1.Original Notarial Certificate of Birth
2.Original Notarial certificate of Non-criminality
3.Copy of Passport
4.Copy of I-94
5.Copy of I-20
6. Copy of Marriage Certificate
7. Medical Exam Report (sealed)
8. 6-8 Recent Identical Color Photos

TIPS:
1. 学生申请绿卡最好请律师办理;
2. 律师收费太便宜的不要轻易相信,一般向周围人打听成功案例,由他们推荐律师最好;每家律师事务所或每个律师都各有所长,如NIW申请者最好找专门擅长NIW办理的律师;
3.主要申请者的推荐信需要提前准备,这个花的时间和精力最多(每个人的背景和专业不同,因此不提供范本);
4.不要盲目申请,必须先和律师沟通清楚,是否符合条件去申请,成功的比率大概有多少.一般律师了解你的情况后,初步可以判定是否可以申请,如果不行,一般负责的律师不会接受你这个CASE,否则也会影响他们事务所的名誉.

目前就想到这些.
