在一个语法笔记上看到的，讨论下twenty-four hour period 到底hour要不要加 S
It has been reported that during any twenty-four hour period, a minimal of three hundred North American women start their own business.

Twenty-four hour period 中的hour不用复数形式；

2.

in high 是否该是 in height 呢？
  
Of前面一般是名词：这个知识点常考察，要引起重视

It is believed that people referred to as “Vikings” reached North America about the year A.D. 1000.
Reach: Vt. Therefore, it is wrong to use the phrase: reach to North America

reach 是做及物动词不可以吗？

1,如果是twenty-four- hour period的形式的话, hour不能加s;如果是没有后面那个-符号,只是twenty-four hour period 的话,hour后s加不加都可以.
2,我认为应该改为 in height .

3,reach是不是及物动词是根据它的不同的意思而定的.在这里的用法没问题,在表示到达什么地方的时候,reach是及物动词,请看下面解释:(出自longman)

例句:We reached London late at night.所以我认为原句中reached North America 表达没有问题.
我反而觉得 referred to as “Vikings”这个表达好像不那么顺眼,不知选项有没有它.

这样的话，可以把refered 作为过去分词表示被动状态，
people refered to as ...
正常语序就是 refer to people as Vikings

minimum of 这个形式是肯定可以的,我觉得a minimal of 在这个词组的中间加入一些成分也可以成立.
关于refer to sb. as 我觉得as在这里是没有必要的,你说的"正常语序就是 refer to people as Vikings "我觉得不应该是这样,应该是refer people as Vikings.
