which kind of transportation vehicles has most dramatically changed people's lives? Different people may have numerous answers to this question due to their distinct angles. Some people may advocate airplane as their choice because of its fast speed and convenience, whereas others may claim that bicycles which are the most common transportation vehicle in people's lives profoundly influence people's lives and work. However, there still exits other different voice, that is, it is automobiles that deeply affect almost every aspect of modern lives. For a number of reasons I support that automobiles are the most important invention among all of the transportation vehicles during last century.
To begin with, there is no doubt that automobile greatly facilitates people's lives. Every year millions of automobiles are manufactured in the plants spread all over of the world. With the development of economics, science and technology, people even with average income can afford buying private cars either to drive to work places or pick up their children or travel around the country or even come across the continents. In modern society, to keep pace with this ever-changing modern society, people by driving their cars rush to their work places in the morning to begin their every day  lives. People cannot imagine living their lives without automobiles.
Another reason for my preference lies in the fact that automobile industry has become an important part in one country's economics. The manufacturing of automobiles is a complex one  which necessitates a large number of different companies that produce various parts  of cars such as brake, engine, metal shell, tires and so on. There are hundreds and millions of people serve in the automobile industry to produce, transport, or sell automobiles. Automobile export takes up a large proportion of national tax revenue in several countries, exemplified in Japan, the United States.
Last but not the least, automobiles transforms people's patterns of communication. Just about half a century ago, people relied on animal power such as horses to visit their friends or relatives. Compared with traditional transportation vehicles, automobiles are faster and more comfortable. By virtue of modern automobile, people can get access to places far away easily. As a matter of fact, communication and cooperation among different groups of people and distinct nations are strengthened and facilitated.
To conclude, I would contend that among these three transportation vehicles, bicycles, airplanes and automobiles, automobiles would undeniably exert the most significant impact on people's lives.

Automobiles, as the major modern transportation vehicles, change people’s lives a lot from the day they came into use. They bring a great deal of benefits to improve our lives. However, everything divides into two. Similar with all other modern technologies, automobiles also lead to some global problems, which influence people’s lives from the other side.

As is known to everybody, automobile offers a much more convenient method for travel. Just imagine what would be like if we want to have a trip from Nanjing to Beijing in ancient times. Maybe it would take us over one month to cover such a long distance even by horse. But nowadays, we can arrive there in 20 hours. With the help of automobiles, one can travel to almost any exact desired location in record time. In addition, we could get rid of the disagreeable gas and dust on the road. And there must be a personal space in the cars or buses for each person to let everyone do not feel crowded. All above makes our modern trip much more efficient and comfortable. Some people even consider driving as a pleasure, and driving trip is becoming a worldwide popular hobby.

At the same time, with the development of the automobile, we can enjoy more sufficient supply of goods and materials. The world seems to be smaller and smaller. Trucks transport cargos across countries. As a result, food and other consumables have become available even in remote areas. Today, people are able to buy almost any goods they want no matter where they originate from, and to make choices among more counterparts, and the best of all, to take the goods home with less expense. Thanks to automobiles, people’s overall living standards have improved conspicuously.

While understanding the truth that automobiles do us much good, it is also important to see the disadvantages of them. Statistics from a research indicate that on average every 3 seconds there is one person killed in the car accident. The threat from automobile safety problems towards people’s lives has far surpassed that from cancer or any other diseases. Not to mention the air pollution: harmful gases exhausted by automobiles in metropolitan create serious environmental changes.

In conclusion, we could ignore neither the benefits, nor the drawbacks that automobiles bring to us. And most of all, they do change people’s lives a lot, from whatever sides.

If there is a kind of transportation vehicle which had changed people’s lives, as for me, I will choose airplanes without any hesitation. Since this style of transportation appeared in the 20th century, it has had some revolutionary effects.

Turning to the first place, the airplane’s high speed makes most people’s dreams come true. To cite a conspicuous example, several decades of years ago, going across the ocean to another continent was almost impossible for a normal person unless he had a large amount of money or in the high status and so on. People always just stayed in one place or country all their lives, especially the people whose nation’s territory is large. Such as China, Russia, Australia, Brazil and so forth. However, airplane, the fastest transportation in the world, could provide a opportunity that people may easily have a oversea vocation just in a short period.  Second, the requirement of food has been thought more and more important; people who live in the inland place also want to taste some fresh seafood nowadays. In that condition, using airplane can make this dream come true. What is more, after the invitation of airplane, the postal service also made a great development. Deliver a international post would just calling several days which greatly convenient people’s lives.

On the other hand, the detriments of the airplane are also a part cannot be ignored. First, petrol is the vital energy for the airplane to work with; a large number of barrels of petrol would be used every day just for airplane, consequently, the shortage of oil would be brought into focus, which may also make the damage to the earth. Second, many sorts of airplane are designed for war, so-called for dependence of other’s invasion. In this circumstance, the invitation of airplane would broke the harmony among the nations and threaten the survival of the human beings. In addition, airplane might cause accidences which are also dangerous for the public.

In conclusion, even thought the airplane might lead to some defects of human, its benefits are overwhelming its drawbacks and promote the development of the society. If we use this new invitation properly, it will be much more serviceable to the whole world!

说明：由于已经看过此篇的提纲和基本构思过，所以看到题目基本没有花时间重新构思。实际考试遇到题目可能构思会花去2-3分钟。文章写的过程中还是感到时间不够，好多话来不及细想，可能表达方法上有不少欠缺，还可能是中文式英语，请各位多多批评。
       文中的一些错误是手写时候就犯的，看来写的快的时候问题很多。用红色标出，

The discovery of airplanes is one of  the important achievements of human   beings, which realizes the dream to fly into the sky like birds, and brings a series of conveniences in transportation and changes in the whole society.

  To begin with, the impressive point of advantages of planes is that they make our traveling more convenient. Just think about how people traveled from China to Europe and how long people spent on this trip. Traveling by plane makes us to the destination quicklier, especially in the distant trip. Nowdays, I can reach the New York in USA from Beijing, China in less than one day, which couldn't be said a great progess. Meanwhile, traveling by plane saves an amount of time for us, nevertheless time is precious for everyone.

  In addition, the industry of airplane arises and supports many other aspects in the field of industry and technology. The industry of airplane is one of high technological industry. As a result, with the development of airplane, it continues to put forward new technological problems for the researchers, which finally promotes the progress of science and technology. The industry of airplane supports many other businesses, such as iron and stee, food, tourism. Another advantage of airplane provides lots of positions of employment.

  In conclusion, airplane not only helps people to fly into the sky, but also causes many changes in our life, reprented by more convenients, saving time, promoting the development of science and technology, more employment opportunities and so on. Thus , I think the airplane changes our ways of life.

Before the invention of airplane by the brothers Wright about a whole century ago, people could only go across the Pacific by ship. They regarded flying as a dream, which has now come true and can be enjoyed by everyone. It is truth that airplanes have changed people’s lives to a great extent.

Apparently, airplanes serve as the most efficient transportation approach. The highest speed of common airplanes reaches over 800 kilometers per hour, several times that of the most advanced train. One can travel by airplanes across a largest country, for example China(这是什么用法啊~~ for example是副词词组,不能这样用啊), within just a few hours. Various conferences are held every so often all over a country, sometimes even abroad. Moreover, they last for only a couple of days and thus require people be highly efficient in the trip. Therefore, only by airplanes can such a efficiency be achieved. On the other hand(不要用On the other hand,用however之类转折即可), any alternative will cost people several days on the way and the comfortlessness will surely annoy them very much(罗嗦). Another example can be given here. By FEDEX, people can receive letters from far away in one day, which is a typical advantage of airplanes.(不是都开始对比了吗,怎么又举例说前面的部分.)

Another benefit people have gained from airplanes is a better environment of globalization. I can think of no better illustration of this than the example of my city, Shanghai. Everyday by airplanes, uncountable people from all over the world come to Shanghai for businesses and trips, which had brought a good international atmosphere (brought atmosphere,有这个用法吗?)here in the city. Hence, people, especially the young, have a lot more opportunities than before to communicate with people of a large variety of cultural backgrounds, which is undoubtedly the best way for different people to exchange with each other commercially and culturally.(这句话说的很乱,最好拆成简单句) What if people had no airplanes?(这是什么语法现象??)

In addition, airplanes have some other utilities. When an area endures too long a aridity(怎么看着这么别扭啊~~~), artificial precipitation will come in handy (???) by spraying the solid carbon dioxide from airplanes high in the air. Farmers can also benefit a lot from crop-dusting using airplanes.

Airplanes have brought much convenience to people. We should take good advantage of them in order to lead better lives. If only the price of tickets can be lowered soon.(全篇都没提价格的事,怎么最后没头没脑地来这么一句?)

As a result, our lives have underwent a dramatic change by the highly developed technology system, including the impact posed by transportation vehicles, such as automobiles.

Standing at the window of a skyscraper in the center of your city and looking downward, you will catch a scene of busy traffic, that automobiles hurry passing by, like a stream. And think about the traffic system, the cloverleaf junctions, the high way, the streets and roads which interweaved as a huge net covering the whole city. All of them are constructed for variety of automobiles: cars, buses, and trucks etc. which decide what the traffic system should be, and even more, the city plan. (你的TS呢?没有TS,开头的那句看似很抒情的白描没有任何意义.托福作文不是高考作文啦~~~.)

It is a fact that our lives are highly depending on the autos. People go to work from the northern part of the city to the opposite one every morning by car or by bus. Our mails are delivered by mail trucks. And you get the pizza from the pizza man who just got off from a car. Ambulances are busy running to the hospital, and the fire trucks to the fire places. Except for the daily use of automobiles, we drive to another city or the beach for holiday, and we watch the race of formula cars. (较下真,formula car算transportation vehicles么 ) This transportation vehicle has deeply rooted in our lives, becoming an indispensable part. (这一段虽然是一筐例子的堆砌,但是好在有TS,还能说的过去~~~)

On the other hand, automobiles manufacture has played an important role in the industry and the modern culture. Numerous people work in those companies involved in car-making. Plants and factories producing different components distribute all over the world. It is of significant importance also in the field of fashion. Every year the exhibitions of new designs of various cars, with the fashionable dress, watches, and other elements together, compose the full contents of fashion. Collectors spend millions or billions for the special style, which always set limit to the number produced.

Apparently, the automobile has changed our lives greatly, and this dramatic influence will continue in the near future as far as I can imagine. (apparently吗?我没从你的文章里看出has changed our lives greatly.不是你说的不够多,而是你根本没说"change".没有车以前怎么样,有了车成什么样了,这才叫变化,对不对?)

With the rapid development of society and significant improvement of transportation vehicles, people's lives have greatly changed. In my opinion, of all the transportation vehicles, such as bicycles, automobiles and airplanes(这个列举没用，删), the invention and development of automobiles have made people's lives changed dramatically.
    Sometimes it was very hard for people's trip when there was no automobile several years ago. People went to school or business largely depended on foot or bicycles. There are couples of disadvantages. On one side, they cost people more time on the way to destinations; on the other side, when people happen to come across some horrible weather such as windy or storm, they would probably not only put off their work but also sometimes get body injuries. Once a time my feet was hurt by a fallen tree trunk blew down by wind on my way school on a snowstorm day.(后半个方面说的太长了没必要说的那么细)
    Compared with those negative points, automobiles have their own advantages for people's lives. Firstly, the use of automobiles makes it much easier for people's trip as well as makes it more flexible for people's work schedule. Because of the rapid speed and convenience of automobiles, people would not necessarily get up too early to catch up with the city bus as they did the time when they had no automobiles. Secondly, not only automobiles can protect people from the wind, snow or even hails, they are also a safe transportation style, compared with foot or bicycles, in that the shells of the cars can shield people within from being bumped or attacked. Further more, the contribution of the use of automobiles to the development of various industries, such as transportation industry, travel industry, manufacturing industry and so forth, will speed the flourish of the economy of the whole country, and accordingly improve the standard of people's living.
    Of course, there are also some negative influences. The development of automobiles also brings us some kinds of environment problems, such as the sound pollution of the cars and the air pollution caused by the exhaust emission of automobiles. At the same time, as a result of the shown up of more and more private cars, the traffic jam becomes much more severe. To solve those series of problems, the government should enact sound law to low the side-effects of automobiles on people's lives to the minimum limit.
    In conclusion, automobiles make people's trip much easier, much more convenient and much safer and also improve the standard of people's living. Although they might as well have some disadvantages to people's lives, the bad influences will be weaken by the endeavor of both the government and us. So I suggest that it is automobiles that have changed people's lives enormously.

Automobile is  one of  the most significant inventions in the twentieth century . Without doubt , it affects our lives dramatically both in positive and negative ways .
Even though , Airplane is the fastest transportation vehicle , it is designed for long distance travel rather than for daily life, consequently ,it is not used as widely as automobile . As the bicycle mentioned , nowadays it has changed its role as a vehicle to a kind of entertainment or sport . The high ownership and wild use make the automobile influence our lives tremendously.
Form the positive aspects , automobile changes our style of live and make it more comfortable , more efficient . Before the automobile is invented , it was very inconvenient to live far away form work place . With the automobile people can establish their houses   in the quite and comfortable countryside rather than in the noisy and crowd city centre . Now you just spend several hours to visit  a friend  who live in another city .However , the early travel could probably be  unimaginable long though the earlier time  transportation as wagons, regarded as an antique by us now . Even with the train , the destination and scheme of travel are restricted by the railway and its time table . Automobile really makes  the world which we live in  smaller and smaller .
On the other hand ,as every coin has its both sides , Automobile also has disadvantages which damage our lives . The air prolusion ,the warm house effect introduced by the use of automobile become  important issues recently . No mention the noise , the jam which  bother us all day long .
Additionally , Automobile also has an indirect effect on the polity and finance . the crux is the petrol consumed by automobile . The wars and conflicts are spurred by the scramble for petrol and an even slight change in the price of petrol will influent the market.
No matter in positive or negative ways , and no matter we wish or not , automobile has affected, are affecting  , and will continue to affect our lives by introducing social and environmental changing.

我自己觉得不用，但看了几个范文都讨论了几句，请指教！！！！
Nowadays, airplanes are considered by more and more people as a kind of indispensable transportation vehicles because they are fast, efficient and comfortable. Airplanes totally change people’s opinion about traditional transportation vehicles such as bicycles and automobiles which can only run on the ground. Therefore, in my opinion, of these three modes of transportation, the airplane undoubtedly has had the greatest impact.

First of all, airplanes can take people to very far places in a few hours, which was just a beautiful dream in ancient times. Hundreds of years ago, Chinese students who want to have an exam in Beijing had to take a tough trip which may cost several months. But now young students who will go aboard to further their studies just need to spend less than one day by flying to America. In a word, because of airplanes, our earth seems much smaller than before.

Furthermore, airplanes lead to significant changes in people’s lifestyle. More and more people can travel far to visit splendid sites, famous cities and other countries, all of which could just be formed as images in their minds by reading books before. For example, in China, the number of foreign tourists largely increases each year. Because of airplanes, these foreigners can personally climb the Great Wall, visit Summer Palace and feel Chinese culture. They may find this young country is largely different from that old mystic country written in books.

Finally, with the advantage of height and speed, the airplane is increasingly becoming a vital role in many fields. On the one hand, it is no longer an impossible mission to plant trees in thousands of miles areas because of air seeding. Again, there is a more important example in medicine. Some patients who have severe disease or even are dying can be saved by donated organs which are brought by plane from thousands of miles away or even from the other side of the earth.

To sum up, if all of these factors are carefully contemplated, we may naturally come to the conclusion that, airplanes, more than other modes of transportation provided by the question, have greatly changed people’s lives.

啊，我明白了，有点跑题啊:L 是不是写每个优点的时候不是和其他的交通工具对比，而是飞机有无的情形对比？那剩下的两个交通工具要不要提呢，这一点还不是很明白。好像没去上过新东方，不是很明朗怎么写的说。:p谢谢羊羊楼主:)
