When talking about whether teacher should be paid according to how much the student can learn, every individual has his/her own preference. The preponderance of people may agree with this suggestion. Although at a first glance this argument sounds reasonable and appealing, they are not borne out by a careful thought.
The first reason for my disagreement for this plan is that sometimes it is hard for us to decide how much a student can learn. Can we judge a student by the exam score? Can we judge a student by the presentation? Can we judge a student by the homework or lab experiment? 后面写的什么忘了 Because we can not judge a student by his/her performance.
In addition to providing a puzzling criteria, this suggestion will give a big pressure to our teachers.
Every day, our teachers get up early in the morning, hurriedly take transportation to class, hold Herculean presentations, score endless homeworks, and set up consecutive exams. They are suffered a lot from the school affairs, undoubtedly this suggestion will add additional pressure to our teachers, which interferes the quality of their lecture.
Finally, it is hard to decide a student by his/her performance, for sometimes the exam is hard, whereas some time is not.
However, on no account can we ignore the value of this plan and there is a subtle point we should ponder. A conspicuous advantage of this plan is that teachers are driven to try their utter most on their working, which consequently improve the teaching quality.
To sum up, although it is something of a dilemma to decide whether our teacher should be paid according to how much the student learn, after taking into account all the factors listed above, I think we should not carry out this plan.
