Dear XXX:
Yes I am very happy to see that you have been admitted.  We would very much like for you to come here and pursue the PhD starting in Fall 2006.  Your background in  XXX is exactly what we are looking for.  

I have your application on my desk, and am right now writing a letter of support to request a university fellowship to support your studies here.  These fellowships pay $19,000 per year and cover all tuition.  If I am not successful at getting a fellowship for you, I can still put you into a Teaching Assistant position at a salary of $16,000 per year plus cover your tuition.

In addition, our faculty have a variety of research projects that they may be able to fund you with.  My best guess is that you would initially enter with either the Fellowship or the TA position, but then get quickly picked up as a Research Assistant on a grant.

So the bottom line, is that I can guarantee you a minimum of $16,000 per year plus cover your tuition starting in Fall 2006.  I realize that it is not a lot of money, but our students find that it is enough to live on here in Louisville where the cost of living is relatively low.  I truly hope this will work for you and I look forward to meeting you in the near future.  Best of luck on your decision.

1、这个offer来的有点早，我该怎么回复教授呢，因为还想等更好的offer
2、答应了以后估计就会寄I-20什么的了吧，还能反悔吗
3、对于这个学校大家能给点建议吗？（学校综合排名一般，但IE专业排40）

另外说一下，好像fellow涨钱了，以前是18000，合每月1500刀。fellow的缺点是，你暑假不能回家了，必须修课

谢谢大家，其实很想再等等别的消息，也收到一个NCSU的AD，正在努力套成offer，估计比较难了……
个人感觉教授特别诚恳，发的邮件回复的特别快，话语也特别热情。
