Has the Video camera become a more important form of documentation than written records, for its accurate and convincing record of contemporary life? It is true that the video camera are playing a vital role in recording our life, however written records can not be neglected.

On the one hand, the video camera is very useful in recording our contemporary life, for it can record our life more lively than written record. The reason why I like watching the programs of the national geographic is that they are full of the vivid records of the animal life and the sound of the nature. To win the bid for the Olympics, every country uses the video of their cities to move the committees(voters). In addition, they can take you back to the moment of the record. My parents used the digital video camera to record the wedding of my brother, and we feel still very sweet to enjoy the happiness of that moment when we replayed it. In court, the video also can be used as an accurate and convincing proof. Many people round me have digital video cameras. With the development of our society, it is very likely that every home owns a video camera one day. Since then, the video camera will very popular and be accepted as usual tool to record our life.

On the other hand, written records can never be taken the place of by the video camera, at many aspects such as ideas, diaries, history, statutes, contracts and statistics etc. The record of video camera is just a continuous process, which cannot express ideas, diaries, history and statutes, which need to be summarized. As for the written record, the case will be totally different. They can conquer any difficulties of time and space, where the video are limited. Refer to statistics and contracts, in addition, video can hardly work. Statistics have something to do with the data and distributions of the data, which only the written record can express. When two companies want to sign contracts, only texts talk. It is clearly that videos have some limits, which the written records can compensate.

Hence, if the two can work together, then we can take the advantages of both to avoid their respective limits to record our life. For instance, to tell people how great the Grate Wall is, we can use video camera to take the video of it, meanwhile, describe its long history and how long it is with the written records. Then the people who have never been the Great Wall before will get a full image of it. The can be explained by the video to let people know what is wrong and what is right. A diary with a video can describe one's daily life more active and beautiful.

In sum, I strongly believe we need to look for balance between the video camera records and written records. The video camera records are as important as written records in documenting our contemporary life, and we can make use both of them together to record our life.

这一题应该是一个因果型的吧，我却不知道如何去写？我本来的提纲是当作比较型的来写的，后来还是改了！自从看了gter上有一个讲孙远提纲中的问题的帖子后，我似乎被压得思维很窄，总觉得论述的内容要紧扣题目！不知道你是怎么看的？

还有，关于documentation，仅仅是指文档呢，还是说所有的records
