Instead of instructing and instilling information of books which is usually considered as the primary task of education, the very function of education should serve to help individuals become creative, independent liberated people who have the willingness and intelligence to create their own lives. Obviously, considering this purpose, the statement asserts that both parents and communities should engage in this process rather than leave alone to professional educators. Thus, I strongly agree with the speaker.
As a mater of fact, although educators as teachers and principals are play a significant role in the development of children’s growth, they are not competent and totally obliged to the whole process. Someone may claims that only by virtue of instructive work from teachers and educators, children can acquire systematical arranged ideologies, know-how, value, and morals, all of which is a guarantee of a healthy cultivation and even a bright future for them. However, professional educators are unlikely to provide integral senses of friendship, values of family , affection, confidence, commonsense scholarship , and the like which are also part and parcel of one’s nurture, especially considering the limitation and qualification of instructors. Moreover, teachers are impossible to put their eyes on all the students. Though they experience professional training, master pedagogical methods, individual limitation and deviation in executing are unavoidable.
Moreover, as we know, parents play a significant role in one’s cultivation even early in childhood. Before the educators, parents are willing to nurture their babies and allow them to thrive in a health and optimistic direction. After sons and daughters grow up to go to school, they still share family times with their parents, whose behaviors and thinking deeply influence on them. Most of us have known that development of one’s personality, behavior, preference, beliefs depends largely on conditions of their family. In many cases, lots of criminals begin their terrible lives out of a family with instability and violence. No one can ignore the outstanding position of parents in their children’s growth, thus, it behooves us to actively encourage parents to master a series of proper method and scientific ideologies to instruct the youth.
Besides influence of parents, students thrive in great part depending on communities both socially and economically. In my observation, a large part of funds for schools is granted by communities, also lots of characteristic facilities are provided by respective communities with different feature. For instance, many villages in mountains offer students opportunities of contacting and understanding nature, while children living in cities are provided many locations for sporting and artistic practice. Moreover it also provides an crucial ambience for one's growth. There is a little but significant story in china for the sake of looking for a proper and healthy circumstance , one mother moved from one place to another for three times, ultimately she find a communities where naïve and assiduous people live for her child who become one of the most great thinkers in Chinese history. This will be a compelling example for both parents and communities.
In sum, considering the importance and purposes of education, no specific groups are solely responsible for one’s growth and nurture. Professional educators, parents , as well as communities are obliged to the education of children who is the future of the earth.
