NO. 4  Topic 14  Time consumed:  30 min

Upon to the question that whether students should be required to attend classes, people always have different opinions. Those who hold the belief that students should attend class may argue that class studying is often better than self-learning. Nevertheless, others opposing them might point out that classes may not be appropriate for everyone, and students have the right to choose way they learn. Tempting as the latter claim might be, it is hardly true. As far as I am concerned, I would prefer to agree that classes are indispensable for every student.

The most significant reason why I choose classes is that students can never get the knowledge released by teachers in the class through self-learning. An excellent teacher would not only just go through the materials but also share his-her own views about the textbooks. He/she would encourage students to give off their viewpoints by disputing with the classmates. In addition, an experienced teacher knows where might be the misunderstandings of the students to each of the chapters, and gives assignments helping to handle these problems by encouraging students to discuss with each other.

Another striking argument of my point also goes to the fact that classes will help to polish student’s many capabilities like timing, and self control, etc. When students leave out of the university to fill in the positions of various companies, they are more likely required not to be late for work, and get through their tasks before the given deadlines. Requiring students to attend classes could help them build these abilities and benefit their future career in consequence.

A further merit of attending classes is that one can learn how to deal with people totally different from him and cooperate to achieve their goal. During the classes teacher would sometimes give team-projects which force students from distinctive background to get together finishing a certain task. Therefore, students could learn to a lot during these projects and obtain more experiences for their future jobs or advanced education.

In conclusion, from what have been discussed, I would rather belief that due to so many overwhelming advantages of attending classes like forming the capabilities of timing and self control, experience of getting along with others, the requirement of doing so would definitely be necessary. In a word, claims that students can choose not to attend classes to advance themselves are too superficial to be true.

The most significant reason why I choose classes(换个表达更好些) is that students can never(hardly有点绝对啊) get the knowledge released by teachers in the class through self-learning. An excellent teacher would not only just go through the materials but also share his-her own views about the textbooks(distinct standpoint). He/she would encourage students to give off(propose/express) their viewpoints by disputing with the classmates. In addition, an experienced teacher knows where might be the misunderstandings of the students to each of the chapters(这句好像有点奇怪,个人觉得可以改成where students might misunderstand the concept or explaination of the chapter), and gives assignments helping to handle these problems by encouraging students to discuss with each other.|留学|签证|TOEFL|GRE n H P0L;t(S

蓝色的是我觉得用的好的词句。
三个方面都是从attend class的好处来讲的,如果适当精简再从反面讲optional的坏处论证就更充分了。
谢谢楼主看我作文啊!一起加油!:)
