Though not invented in China, table tennis will be an excellent choice if I am asked to send one thing to represent my country—China. The simple sport has played an important part in different aspects of the society.
The most striking reason why I am inclined to table tennis is that it is widespread in China. It proves that the people in China are mostly healthy. Different kinds of tables for this sport can be seen anywhere. In the countryside, families that are not able to afford a table make substitutions with bricks and cement. In my school, the table tennis room is always the most popular after class. With well-prepared facilities and enthusiasms, Chinese people enjoy this everyday exercise regardless of ages, sex and jobs.
Furthermore, with an atmosphere of table tennis, the national team of China has been one of the top-class teams in the world. Generations of skilled players trained hard for the competitions. Chinese team occupies several superb competitors, both in men and women, single and double. In the recent world championships, they strived and managed to reach the cup once again. Innumerous glories brought by table tennis make it a national significance of China.
At last, the table tennis means more than sports for China. We cannot forget how China and America become friendly after decades of unharmonious relationship. By chance, an American player missed the team bus and was given not only a ride but also gifts and invitations to China by Chinese players. This incident, once reported, drew a worldwide attention, especially in China and America. After that, the players of the two countries began an annual competition and the ice between the two governments melted as the American players set foot in Chinese mainland for the first time since the foundation of P.R.China. Thanks to table tennis, China has more foreign friends.
To put it in a nutshell, table tennis improves the Chinese citizens physically, wins glories and solves special political problems. It is no exaggeration to say that table tennis us an epitome of my country.

不过一点小建议希望楼主笑纳
展出table tennis的话，最好能在第一段写些要具体展出的东西，毕竟不能只拿一堆乒乓球去，起码要有辅助的说明什么的
比如说，乒乓球历史与现状摄影展出，乒乓球品牌产品展出（还是前一个好，第二个像是做广告似的。。）

恩  可以是一套装备 包括球桌
