    The speaker asserts that video camera has become a more important documental tool than written records for its more accurate and more convincing record of contemporary life. I agree with the author insofar as that video camera's performance is better than written records in recording spacial events or experience. But there are many other conditions in which written records cannot be replaced.
   With the advancement of video camera related technologies, video camera has been more and more easy to use and has become useful in our daily lives. For example, many tourists like to use a digital video camera to record the beautiful views and interesting events or even all the details in their journey. As the record can provide nearly the same views what the tourist experienced to its viewers. No one would doubt that the video records could provide more vivid and truer depicts of the travel than simple travel diaries. Then the tourists can share their delights and feelings they had in the journey with their friends or family members through the record.   
On the other hand, video camera can also be used in many important areas for its accuracy and objectivity, especially in legal process. Only one century ago, it might be quite hard for police to acquire enough information of criminals only by witness's depicts. But they now are much easy to affirm suspects for video camera records can provide more objective and accurate describes of the criminals. In addition, the records can be used as witnesss in the court too.
   However, though video camera has better quality in accuracy, there are many conditions in which written records can show its advantages. For instance, law cannot be expressed precisely in video records. It is better to record it in written records. We cannot express our emotions and feelings in video records more accurately than in written records. In sum, as to subjective aspects of our contemporary life, such as emotions, feelings, law, and so forth ,written records perform better than video camera.
In sum, video camera and written records are both important documental tools. We need them both to record every aspect of our lives. The choose of the two may depend on the work we are concerning .And they both can be used to make our records more convincing and accurate in certain conditions.
