ISSUE4. No field of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study.

Does advancement in a field of study need outsiders' brought of their knowledge and experience? When we come to some certain basic scientific studies, I concede that the improvement id created by the scientists who study the subject professionally. Otherwise, I strongly agree with the speaker that all the significant advancement of the studies needs the outsiders to bring their suggestions.

Admittedly, a foundational scientific research needs deep basic knowledge of its own subject, because if the scientists want to obtain great advancement, he/she should have had a professional study of the former results of the subject, thus he/she could make improvement of the old theory, invent something new, or create a new theory. For supporting example the world famous scientist Newton, whose great theory of The Low of Gravity is known by people all around the world, even young little children, once said "if I have been able to see further, it was only because I stood on the shoulders of giants." And the giants are obviously the scientists before him who studied the basic physical theories. Without the professional preparation knowledge, no one including the greatest scientists could do nothing really valuable to the field they are working on.

However, except the case above, most of the significant advancement of certain subjects needs the help that come from the outsiders. As our society develops, most subjects people study on has develop maturely, and the world become more and more complicated thus it is really difficult to keep on study in one realm without help from other fields. Software's exploitation is a good example. When we explore a kind of software, we don't just need computer engineers, but many kinds of other people are needed. If the software is designed for the words processing, they need the writers who knows what functions they should add to the software, and also they need marketing officials to make operation plans. Besides, they need volunteers from all the realms to test if the software can be easily used. All of these people combine to form a group, which is popular in today's society, is called work group. For the internet has developed rapidly in recent years, this kind of group can be made of different forms, for they may not see each other from begin until the work is finished, however, the suggestions from everyone of the group is important to the finally result. Nowadays, this kind of group is spreaded in most of the scientific realms.

Additionally, as the social and natural science develop, more and more subjects appeared in modern times, most of which is combination subjects, such as biochemistry, physical chemistry, and so on. Obviously, this kind of subject needs scientists from two or more fields to study them together.

In sum, not all the realms need help from the outsiders, however, if we define that the scientific research is more deep and advanced, I strongly agree with the speaker as a said above.
