2)研究是推动人类社会向前进步的重要力量。一方面，研究可以加深人对未知世界的认识。另一方面，研究也可以为现在存在的问题提出解决方法。因此，人应该重视研究，给研究尽可能地提供经费。
3)有争论的研究结果不应该成为减少研究投资的理由。一方面，在研究过程当中一般无法预见研究结果是什么，减少研究经费会降低研究的水平。另一方面，有争论的研究结果的出现是必然的，因为人的认识能力是有限的。
4)我们也应该正确对待有争论的研究结果。一方面，要继续加深对这些结果的研究，减少乃至消灭其存在的危害。原子弹。另一方面，人类社会也总是在这样的争论中逐渐加深认识，不断进步的。日心说。

    Dolly, the first cloned sheep in the world, was born as an innovation filled with applause and critics. Currently, during the rapid development of science and technology, many people assert that we should decrease the investment on the researches which are harmful to the community. In my viewpoint, however, we should keep; even increase the input to research, even when the results are as controversial as Dolly sheep's birth.
    First of all, research is an active, diligent, and systematic process of inquiry in order to discover, interpret and revise facts, and is one of the most crucial forces to improve human's society. This intellectual investigation should produce a greater understanding of events, behaviors, or theories which are so undiscovered and uncanny that they allure people to study. Newton discovered the law of universal gravitation by researching the phenomenon of an apple's drop; Watt invented the steam engine since researching the force of vapor, seen at a pot of boiling water. Research does not only provide new cognition to people, but also make practical solutions and applications with the help of such facts, laws, or theories. The law of universal gravitation is the fundamental in modern astronomy and is effective to the researches of rockets, artificial satellites and so on; although the steam engine has been replaced by other advanced engines, people will never forget the era of steam which is indispensable to our modern life. Accordingly, people should attach importance to research and invest on it as much as possible.
    Second, the possibly controversial results of research should not play the factor in restrain the investment on researches. On the one hand, we cannot predict the result during the research for the outcome may be aberrant comparing with our targets, so we are not able to differentiate which research will lead to a harm result. Irresponsible reducing the fund will circumscribe the normal research and will even draggle the progress of the community. On the other hand, we do not have to be worried about the appearance of controversial outcomes, for which is inevitable. Controversy stems from the limitation of people's cognition and investigation. When the heliocentric theory was firstly developed by Copernicus hundreds of years ago, it confronted to furious argument for the common people's behindhand understanding. These controversial outcomes of study should be examined by more progressive science and people's practice. In brief, we should keep investing on research as before because the results are unforeseen and inevitable.
    Last but not least, we should treat the controversial outcomes properly. Many people criticize for there existing some harms and bugs in the results. However, we should continue the input to the research because only it can eliminate the side effects. Two atom bombs exploded in 1945 and killed millions of people, which warned us the danger of the atomic energy. Nevertheless, scientists did not cease the study of this great power, which lately cause the application of a clean way to generate electricity to benefit millions of people. Moreover, we deepen the cognition during the controversy. The heliocentric theory, as I mentioned before, open a door to the solar system. Nowadays, few people regard the earth as the center of the universe; meanwhile, we have already recognized that the sun is not the core of the universe neither, but just of the solar system. The fact is becoming clear during the process of argument. Shortly, we should not be fear of controversial result, but regard it as another kind of impelling force to our society.
    Summing up, we should support research by the investment on it. Although sometimes controversial outcomes will happen, we should not stop the steps towards the unknown field. Even though Dolly sheep brought an argument on the technology of clone, I am convinced that after many years, when people are benefited by this technology, they will remember the sheep as a milestone just as we do with the apple falling off the tree.
