自我批评:第一段没必要说那么多。第二段,让步太多了。要改,要改。
In the modern world, with the fierce progress of globalization in various aspects, more thorny issues arise simultaneously as the persistent social problem of the whole world, including pollutions, warming climate, nuclear weapon, clone, Aids, poverty and so on, which are hard nuts needed to be solved urgently and seriously, or else the further development and evolvement of the entire social might be hampered significantly. In order to settle the severe problems, some people claim that all nations are supposed to cooperate actively to support the development of a world university which aims at involving students in the process of figuring out those intractable issues. While the approach might have some positive influence on the process of solving thorny issue in the world, chances are that the suggestion is not practicable, and hard to be carried out. Furthermore, there are some other active strength and powers might be involved in the process so as to settle the problems better and effectively.

To begin with, never should we ignore the potential and possible positive impact which might be brought by the global university. Actually, the global university could foster a good sense of cooperation and free communication, especially between students from different countries or regions. In the atmosphere, people could contact and understand more concerning other cultures and values of the rest of the world through communicating with classmates from other nations, which certainly will help them to think over and behave from a global perspective in balance of the welfare of different nations. For example, more understanding of cultures, history, and customs of the other nations might successfully resolve the racial conflicts between them. In addition, some world issues need the united efforts of all nations, such as pollution, wild animal protection, and clone and so on. For instance, the grave and unrestricted emission of carbon dioxide results in the global warming and greenhouse effect in the worldwide range, and it is apparent that this kind of air pollution and resulted effect can not be resolved, unless all nations united as a whole to fight against excess release of exhaust gases.

However, the reality might be that the implementation of the university might be difficult to be carried out successfully. Firstly, a large amount of money is required in establishing such a large scale university, and as for the questions of which nation should provide such financial support and how much money should be offered respectively, it is hard to reach an accurate agreement among numerous nations. Due to different proportion of financial support, it is possible that no every nation has a huge say in the operations and management of the global university, consequently the welfare of this kind of nation might be underemphasized. Unfair play might not do much good to the settlement of the global issues. Besides, the setting up of the global university is not so in urgency, since in many famous universities in the world the atmosphere of encouraging students to embark on the persistent social problems has already began to form. As we know, every year thousands of diligent students from various students receive further education in those universities of great reputation, where they have precious opportunities to get in touch with classmates of various nations and strive to solve the persistent social problem. For example, the Cornell university has set up a laboratory, where the students of different nations could do research together on the relevant project of disposing the polluted water. In some degree, those universities have played the same role as the global university.  

Actually, merely the endeavor and efforts of the students in the global university is inadequate to finally achieve the great goal of ending the social problem which have existed in the world for a long time; moreover more organizations and institutions should be involved in the course. In general, the professional organizations and institutions like WHO, will appropriately conduct the cooperation of nations and make full use of the advantages of different nations, which might figure out those issues more effectively and rapidly.

In summary, the advocate of establishing a global university by support from all nations might sound attractive and tempting; however the applicability and manipulation is open to doubt in consideration the potential problems. Furthermore, more efforts from other institutions is also vital in ultimately putting an end to the persistent social problem.
