51. "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

Education will be useful for everyone in the world and I also agree with the statement that education specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests is more effective than give various people the same education, but not this way mentioned by the author is the only way. I think it depend on the definition of truly effective.

If the author defines the truly effective is to teach each person to be the best one in which area he interested, the statement may be right. Such as, the one will be the first class physical scientist through asked the most famous person who researchs in this field to teach him or her. But if we take it into deep consideration, it is impossible to reach the goal.

We often called something is truly effective is to achieve our aims or better than the past time. That is, if the student progress in what the educator teach him or her, it would be said education has effective. For example, I think nobody born know that the earth is like a ball, not the plank or cube unless others told them. Plank, who is thought to be the father of quantum mechanics, benefited from the teachers and the classmates from school and university. If he didn't know the classical mechanics, how could he research on mechanics and found he had a quite different view with the most mechanics scientists, which become a new idea of quantum and is believed to be one of the most important achievement in the 20th century. That is an example about a very famous person, it doesn't means the ordinary person on the contrast way.

In fact, as I mentioned above, education will be truly effective when someone have progress even the progress is so little. I want to take myself as a example. My major is acoustics during my undergraduate studying, which I don't know what it is at all before I entrance the university. After three year studying and many dozens of course taken, I exact know this area include speech signal process, ultrasound which can be used in medical and electronic device, physical acoustics and underwater acoustic which is much important to arm. But according to academic achievement, I had nothing. Can we said that the university is fail to give me good education or the education is uneffective. I afraid that I cannot got this conclusion, because it is unreasonable.

Another factor I want to point out is that it is unwarrant that design the education to each person according to the individual interests. The interest is changing all the time. It is possible that the one love to reading science book while the day before he or she loved art book. The most important reason is that the students are not able to have a plan which is better to growth of them, they have no idea what they should learn and what should be avoided. In this situation, the experts should play the much important role to design the education.

In sum, it would be good for student if the education meet the individual need. In my opinion, education more or less will be truly effective for various person.
