“Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

I agree with the speaker's broad assertion that each student will benefit a lot when the education meets every individual's interests and needs. However, as further consideration and using the universally acknowledged, any good thing will become bad if going to its extreme, in the other word, the speaker unnecessarily extends this broad assertion to embrace the word “only", because it is too extreme, while ignoring some certain compelling reasons might be unjustifiable. My pinion in this contention with the speaker involves the fundamental objectives and nature and the effective of the education, as discussed below.

To begin with, we should define what is the true purpose and function of education. This is the most cardinal and paramount fact we should make it clear. As Martin L. King Jr, once said (and I paraphrase) the purpose of education is the preservation and enhancement of knowledge and the development of character within our given form of society which will best prepare the individual for the conditions of extreme novelty the neat future is bringing. According, in the word, the mission of education at any level is to develop the personality of the individual and significance of their life to themselves and to others. This is the basic architecture of a life; the rest is ornamentation and decoration of the structure. Education also should mold students become natural real men with the good characteristic like honesty, fairness, self-discipline, fidelity to test, friends, and family, love of country, responsibility to the society and so forth.

I concede that the speaker is on the correct philosophical side of this issue. After all, when the education will be designed to meet the needs and the interests of each student, it will be the perfect and the most significant event and the effect of the education will be truly effective. Actually, it is fantastic fact to basic on the individuals' own condition, such as personality, characteristic, potential, interest, need, designing unique way to suit everyone. Accordingly, in this cases, more opportunity and chances might be created and provided to the students who can get great advantage to develop, cultivate their personality, to best use of their mind to improve and elevate themselves positive and energetic rather than intruded, enforced to learn something they maybe do not like. In fact, under some circumstance, it is truly indeed to designed a kind of education to meet each student.

However, in the real life, it is impossible to design a special education to suit every individual. We should be circumspect about the real fact and balance the pro and cons. The first uppermost and undeniable account is due to the cruel reality. Practical speaking, many nations and areas have no condition and ability to make a proper education. Consider, China, for example, 960,000 kilometers realm, and 56 minorities, 23 provinces, 130 billion people, the great population in the world, could not have the ability to design a sort of education to agree with each student. Because the human resource, the financial, the environment are all limited. The second salient facet is that sometimes, to the large degree, the individuals needs and interests are not positive or even vile and indecent. For instance, some students like gambling, stealing, treating, and quarreling and so forth. If the education wants to meet the students' harmful interests, drug, gambling or even crime, the world will be in mess undoubtedly.

Take all the facts which are i mentioned above into consideration, I could safely conclude that education should define accurately and comprehensively to suit to particular countries, societies, and make great contribution and promotion to the human beings.
