Is it justifiable to take any means to attain a goal that one thought it is worthy? The arguer claims so. By scrutinizing the various dimensions of the contention. I agree with the arguer insofar as that if the goal is righteous and would not do harm to the society people can take every effort to achieve it.

Firstly, people should take into account the purpose of fixing a goal. If people intend to realize one's dream, which means pursuit of good individual development, great achievement and noble business, then the goal is worthwhile. If people desire to satisfy their greed self-interests or realize unspeakable intention, we must identify those kinds of goal as wicked and people should try to impede the terrible behavior. But sometimes it is really hard to distinguish the angel from the evil. Different people have different opinions about a goal's worth, for the reason that people have their distinctive experience, culture, background and education. But everything has its bottom line, if you cross the line you must be punished.

Secondly, when you set a worthy goal steadfastly, which you might make every effort to achieve, but if you take any means even the measure disobeys the law and social moral, then even if you realize the goal by accident, in fact, you have failed from the every beginning. To find examples one need look no further than the Water Gate, the former US president Nixon withhold information from the public and try to deny his active role in the cover-up. His behavior demonstrate that he put his self-interest above the democratic people's interest, and for achieving his goal he took any means, such as abuse of power, be in defiance of social moral and even contempt of congress and justification. He lost the trust of masses, and soon step down after the Water Gate was revealed. So, it is time problem for the punishment of the wicked behavior.

Last but not least, in order to help people fix a goal correctly, our society should put emphasis on the education regarding the moral, belief, value and so forth. People should be encouraged to pursue the real worthy goal and have the passion to dream. When you confused about the value of your goal, you may turn to your parents, friends and teachers for help.

In sum, it is important to achieve a righteous goal, but you cannot take any means. Only with the permission of law and moral, can individual or collective spare no effort to realize their dreams.
