It is found by a survey that crime rate of young women is increasing. Please state out the possible reasons and solutions.


Young women crime has become more and more prevalent in recent

years. What are the reasons for this and what can be done to

combat it?



Firstly, along with the steady improvement of women’s social status,

more and more females begin to work in the office rather than at home.

This contact with the outside world may inevitably

give rise to pressure and anxiety among them. As is well known,

mental problems have far-ranging effects on people’s behavior.

In this case, some unbearable ones could possibly lead to

unethical doing or even crime.



Secondly, crime is frequently connected to poverty. This is

especially true for young women coming to big cities from the

countryside or living at the bottom of society. In China – the

country where I live, over the last twenty years, the gap of

income between rich and poor has greatly widened. Those young

women who are suffering from poverty, few opportunities and

perhaps little education, are more likely to be tempted into a

life of crime as a shortcut to their dreams of leading decent

lives.



Of course, it’s impossible for us to turn back the clock. Women

who are fresh out of high schools or colleges should learn by

themselves to adapt to the social changes. Meanwhile, parents

should spend more time communicating with their children, and

give them helpful suggestions on how to deal with such

psychological imbalance as peer pressure and pressure to success.

On the other hand, the government has a lot more to do. The most

important two, among others, are to narrow the gap between rich

and poor, and to offer everyone a reasonable education, as is the

pathway to greater opportunities in the future.


These are just a few reasons and suggestions on the subject of

young women crime and how it may be tackled. There are many other

areas of debate that an essay of this length cannot discuss.
