3、  在一个提倡合作的社会中，过分的个性化教育会降低学生的合作能力
4、  学校可以另外开设一些课程来满足学生的个性化需求。

Should education be designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student?

The speaker asserts that the education will be effective only when it is designed to cater each student’s need and interest. Admittedly, the individual cultivation becomes much more important than ever before. However, I disagree with the speaker. The individual education will be inefficient and it will have little to do with the effectiveness of education.

The first disadvantage of individual education is inefficiency. As you all know, the number of the teachers is much less than the quantity of the students in one school. The individual education is almost equal to person-to-person teaching. So there may be some students waiting for the teachers who are arranged to teach them .Indeed, the curriculum needed 12years to finished will be changed to cost much more than 12 years to accomplish. Even if the form of classes will keep the same as before, considered, the teacher must care all the different requirements of students, then    one class will spend far more time than before. Since the efficiency of education lies in the generalization of teaching, individual education will surly be inefficiency.

As the society developing, the requirements of generalists become dominant now. People are born with various interests. It is common sense that every student has some subjects that they hate to learn. If we carry out the individual education, the students will not learn some subjects that they are not interested in but important for them to study, such as mathematics and physics. However, without the fundamental knowledge of such subjects, one cannot do many works in the future. If ones want to be excellent and competitive in the work, they should not choose the individual education and learn extensively no matter they are interested or not. Individual education will not be accordance with the developing requirements of the quality of students and even ineffectivity.

Moreover, the cooperation has been considered important nowadays. The excessive assertion of individuality is obedience to the cooperative trend. Because one must know about the general features of the partners , which will be get in the general teaching process, then they can work together. For example, the international genetic program need a group made up of several professors and scientists. They all come from different field of scientific research. .But, more or less, they know about the others’ majors, which is the promise of communicating and exchanging ideas with others. Consequently, individual cultivation cannot satisfied the cooperative spirit in the future development.

Admittedly, the individuality of the students should not be neglected by the teachers. In order to cater the individual needs and to enhance the interests of students, schools can designed some specific programs for the students. They can be the compensation of the major classes.Actually, there have been some schools to do so. For example, in my high school, there was a variety of classes designed to cultivate our merits and interests. There are also many organizations in the university aimed to develop the advantages of the students. Nevertheless, the peculiar education cannot take place of the general education.

To sum up, the individual education should not be exorbitantly promoted in the school. For the purpose to make the education efficiency, in need of cultivating the generalists, make the students realize that cooperation is more important than individuality, individual education will not be effective.that is why I disagree with the speaker. I consider that education will also be effective through the general education with some specific classes designed to cater the peculiar needs of the students.

Admittedly, the individual cultivation becomes much more important than ever before. However, I disagree with the speaker. The individual education (个性化教育不应该这么说吧，不过我也不知道怎么说/individual centered education或者 student centered education 可不可以 )will be inefficient and it will have little to do with the effectiveness（effectiveness是效力的意思，effectivity是有效的意思） of education.
