The author asserts we should set up a global university supported by all nations for solving the world's mostly persistent social problems. In my opinion, it is rather difficult to work in practice although out of good purpose.

Indeed, a global organization helps a lot dealing with the issue associating with many countries. United Nations has set up a successful example for us. Under his regulations we have solved many problems in a peaceful way, rather than appeal to the military force. As we know that nowadays a set of agreements has been set up between Israel and Palestine which helps to the ease the   tension. No one could deny that the ability and intelligence of diplomatists plays a great part in it.  

However, it not only depends on some expert knowledge, but what’s more relies on the ability of communicating with other people. And the development of communication ability is much different from that of some expert knowledge such as calculating, writing, and reading which almost can be taught in the classes and books. So universities and colleges in current form are not very ideal places where students can advance their social abilities. Working market including companies and government organizations are the better choice for them.

In addition, there is a striking difference among social conditions of different nations. Some countries are stable and wealth, while some others are poor and suffer from warfare. Thus the most persistent problem is totally different, so does the solution. One needs a deep understanding of local culture at lest master the nation's language very well. Hence it is most efficient for local government to build such research institute. Besides those issues sometimes relate to state secret, so it is impossible to be examined by the foreigners.

Moreover, nations always conflict with each other in many ways. We can not expect two students from two opposing countries with each other both can get what he or she want in the same class.

In sum, it is not practical to build a global university for solving the persistent problems of the world. A better choice is that each nation build their research institute and organize seminar to communicate when necessary.

这样的建议处于好意，但是没有可行性。

一个联合的组织可以解决国家之间的问题。联合国让我们一和平的方式解决了很多问题。比如Israel and Palestine，这里外交人员的能力和智慧起了很大的作用。

但是这不仅仅依靠专业技能，更重要的是依靠和人沟通的能力。而这种能力很难在现有形式下的大学里培养。工作场所是更好的选择

此外国家之间情况不同，最顽固的问题和解决方案也不同，需要对该国有很深了解才行，所以应该让该国自己建立研究机构研究。此外，这些问题往往涉及国家机密，也不能让外国人研究

国家利益冲突，很难让两个敌对国家的学生从同一个课堂得到他们想要的

因而应该让各国各自建立研究机构研究自己的问题，可以建立研讨会必要的时候

感觉思路不太对，个人认为如果是持反对立场，应该从两方面来考虑
一是whether establishment of the global university is possible
二是after it is founded,if it can help in the solution of persistant social problems
当然还可以对social problem进行界定
