11"All nations should help support the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems."

With fabulous development of globalization, more and more social problems not only appear in one country but also involve in many countries together. Dealing with all these persistent social problems has become an increasing issue in the world. I agree with the author's idea that we should develop a global university designed to solve these world's most persistent social problems. However, in my view, there is no need for every nation to develop such kind of university.

Firstly, I admit that some social problems are so complex and persistent, and we need people with ability to solve these problems. Though our government has many competent officials try their best to deal with these problems, their efforts are limited. What they can is designing some policies which are suitable to solve these problems, but in fact implementing these policies need more people. As we all know, it always takes a long time for jackaroos to familiar with these problems and the methods to deal with these problems. Undoubtedly, it is a waste of time to do so. If we engage students contacting with all these problems when they are in the university, they must do much better once they begin to work. In other words, the universities teach them the skills which would be of important use in their future career. Students will also benefit from all these skills.

However, I consider that all nations to develop this kind of universities is not realistic. For some affluent nations, some social problems, such as Racial and Ethnic Inequality, Gender Inequality, Crime, Violence, Drugs, trouble the whole society a lot. To build a university must cost a large amount of money and a large number of the specialists are also needed. These countries have funds to establish the universities. Yet, in poor countries, the major problem must be the poor and work. For a country where people's basic needs in daily life can not be satisfied, how these countries have the ability to design a new kind of universities? The first thing they must do just try their best to make sure people can dress warmly and ear their fill. Even mention about the education problem, solving the children's education problem must be important.

Finally, a global university can not be established by one country, it needs cooperation among all the nations in the world. Many social problems, for example, environment protect, call for communications among all the nations. Both developed countries and developing countries have the obligation to protect our mother land-earth. While few countries do not want to implement some policies considering their own economy development, debates remain in these problems. The global universities, if they really want to deal with these involved problems, must be established under a harmonious and tolerant environment. Only by promoting cooperation in the world, developing a global university would become true.

In sum, some affluent nations have the ability to build the global universities to solve the world's most persistent social problems. But they need cooperation among all nations in the world.

I agree with the author's idea that we should develop a global university designed to solve these world's most persistent social problems. However, in my view, there is no need for every nation to develop such kind of university. (有点问题,原题说的是help support the develpment of the....比如说派点学员去啊,派点专家来几场讲座啊什么的~还是跟你说的有点不同)

In other words, the universities teach them the skills which would be of important use in their future career. Students will also benefit from all these skills. (整段论证不是很好,没有突出global university本身优势在什么地方.个人认为应该它在share the international resources and experience方面有优势)

However, I consider that all nations to develop this kind of universities is not realistic. (famine, unemployment medical-walfare, 可能这几个效果比poor and work 要好一点~) For a country where people's basic needs in daily life can not be satisfied, how these countries have the ability to design a new kind of universities? The first thing they must do (shall be) just try their best to make sure people can dress warmly and ear their fill. (??没见过这种说法~是吃饱的意思么?真有这种用法?) Even mention about the education problem, solving the children's education problem must be important. (段尾没有总结~)

题目理解有问题,develop 跟 help support还是有区别的,不过只要在文首把观念改成'This claim amounts to an overstatement of the significance of the global university rather than the unpredictable difficulities and differences amoung various countries'或者别的也行
