想出国学营养的同学过来看一下，给大家提供一个比较详细的信息

要想考美国的注册营养师（Registered dietitian,简称R.D.),需要一个过程。首先要学一个Didactic Programs in Dietetics ，学过这个之后再经过半年到一个月的internship,才能参加RD的考试，通过之后成为正式的美国注册营养师。

美国有一个叫做American Dietetic Association（简称ADA） 的机构，有大部分关于营养师方面的资料都可以在这里查到。我在下面所介绍的内容也都是从这个上面查到的，他的网址是

下面就是我所了解的情况
关于学校　和　课程
根据ADA上的资料，很多学校会提供Coordinated Programs in Dietetics 的课程。我前面提到过，想参加RD的考试，必须先学一定的课程，再参加internship,才有资格考试。这个Coordinated Programs in Dietetics 就是把这两部分放在一起了，只要你参加这个Coordinated Programs in Dietetics ，他们会安排你上课，安排你的internship,只要你能完成这个Coordinated Programs ，就可以去参加考试的。

还有一些学校只提供必修课程（Didactic Programs in Dietetics），不提供internship（Dietetic Internship）或者只提供internship不提供课程学习，也就是说课程和internship是分开的。但是一部分学校虽然这两部分是分开的，但是两部分都有，据我理解，就是说如果你参加了这个学校的课程，合格之后可以申请这里的internship,能不能申请到就是你自己的事情了。这种学校的internship有时也很变态，只接受那些在本校学习营养课程的人，如果你是在别的学校学的营养师课程，还没有资格申请他的internship.所以相比较而言，还是Coordinated Programs 比较划算，一起读出来就可以考营养师了。

关于学费
不同学校，不同的州，收费不同。ADA上面列出的学费分两种，resident （居民）和nonresident（非居民）.比较之后就会发现，nonresident的学费是resident两倍左右，不是一般的贵。resident 的定义好像各个州还不一样，我只研究过加州的，条件一大堆，我理解下来基本上就是绿卡持有者了。所以我们大家想学的话，基本上就是要按nonresident来交钱了。具体每个学校的收费情况，我一会儿会在后面列出来，或者大家也可以自己去ADA的网站上查。

关于学位
现在大家知道了，我们有三种选择，Coordinated Programs in Dietetics ，Didactic Programs in Dietetics，Dietetic Internship。这三种选择，不管你读哪一个，读下来基本都有个学位拿，但是根据各个学校的情况，有的给BS，有的给MS，有的给PHD。我看下来，给BS和MS的多，给PHD的很少。当然给PHD的学习时间也相对长一些。

在国内读的本科，怎么申请这些program?
ADA网站上面写得很清楚，如果你是在国外获得的营养方面的相关专业，首先要让ADA指认的几个认证机构把你的学位证书，毕业证书，成绩单之类的认证一下，具体要什么材料，到那几个认证机构的网站上查一下就知道了，认证一份大概要80美元左右，一份只能寄一个你所申请的学校，也提供副本，一个副本好像收30美元，但是有的学校可能不收副本吧，这个要具体情况具体分析了。program的负责人收到你的材料后，会决定你可不以读这个program,如果可以的话，你以前读过的哪些课程仍然是有效的，也就是说你参加他们的program之后，可以免修哪些课（就意味着可以少交一些学费：）
当然，申请这些program,根据不同学校对international student的要求不同，基本都是要考托福的，要求考GRE的倒不多。

我的建议：
做好自费的准备吧，有奖的很少。
先到ADA的网站上看看有哪些学校提供这些program,然后上他们的网站看对international student　的要求，好好考tofel,不明白的地方直接发信问他们的负责人，因为有的学校是根本不收跨专业的学生的，就算是他们本校的把营养当成第二位来学的人也不能申请，所以一定要问清楚能不能申请再做其它的事情，否则白费力气。而且有的学校只收那些从ADA指定的认证机构发出来的offical的证明，复印件都不行，所以这些东西一定要调查清楚。

我的情况，老公是J1，我是J2，陪读中。本打算申请学营养师的，但是算下来太贵，真要读的话，按加州的学费和生活费，砸锅卖铁也读不起，去阿拉斯加倒便宜，可以又要和老公两地分居。折腾研究了一阵子，发现自己怀孕了，宝宝预产期是2007年8月，误打误撞要生个猪宝宝，现在家养胎中。准备考GT，能申请到PHD的offer最好，否则这两年就只能在家照顾孩子了。
