第一次写argument,差距还是很明显的~~~~批改的同志帮忙看看哈~~
17.The following appeared in a letter to the editor of the Walnut Grove town newspaper.

"Walnut Grove's town council has advocated switching from EZ Disposal (which has had the contract for trash collection services in Walnut Grove for the past ten years) to ABC Waste, because EZ recently raised its monthly fee from $2,000 to $2,500 a month, whereas ABC's fee is still $2,000. But the town council is mistaken; we should continue using EZ. EZ collects trash twice a week, while ABC collects only once. Moreover, EZ-which, like ABC, currently has a fleet of 20 trucks-has ordered additional trucks. Finally, EZ provides exceptional service: 80 percent of respondents to last year's town survey agreed that they were 'satisfied' with EZ's performance."


The speaker depute the decision of city council to switch trash collecting service from EZ company to ABC company  which  would save 500 dollars a month on the basis of three reasons.

First, EZ collects trash twice a weel while for ABC it is only once a week. However, the times of collecting does not means more clean the place is, and it depends on how many time it really needed.

Secondly, the speaker favor EZ company because they order additional trucks which implys why they raise the fees from 2000 to 2500 dollar a month. But before that, the manager of that company did not investigate whether more trucks are necessary and more efficient than ever before. In fact, if we do not have so much rabish to carry, there is no need to buy others trucks which is only waste of money.

Thirdly, the speaker try to persuade us more people satisfied with the service provided by EZ company by a survey. Nevertheless, we are not sure whether the survey has covered enough people the district to produce a real attidute toways EZ. Besides, the biggest problem of the survey is that it did not compare the survice of Ex with ABC’s, so no signal shows people here like EZ more than ABC.

In a sum, the speaker draw a conclusion without trully understand the situation of both companys and the inclination of people is vague. More details research should be made before decide which company is applied to that service.
