Some bad news and good news were reported in the last week from the world of natural products therapeutic. First the bad news. Shark cartilage showed no benefits in the study with advanced lung cancer patients. Because shark cartilage doesn’t have blood vessels, some researchers theorized that the substance probably contains blood vessel growth inhibitor which might help starved tumors with nutrients. But results presented at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology found shark cartilage to be of no help. Now some better news. Another study reported at the meeting found that American ginseng helped cancer patients who suffer from extreme fatigue. And the amount of fatigue relief was dose-dependent, a good sign that wasn’t just placebo effect. An upcoming trial will try to establish an exact dosage. Finally an NIH funded study reported at Oncology meeting found that dietary flaxseed was effective in stopping the growth of prostate tumors. Flaxseed is rich in omega-3 fatty acids which may affect our cancer cells attach to other cells. Flaxseed also contains lignin which may interfere with tumor’s blood vessel growth.

I'm not sure about some words.

Talk about a cold case. Researchers in Italy and Switzerland announced that they have determined cause of a death for an iceman. He is incredibly well preserved frozen mummy that were stayed in glacial ice ups near the Italy and Austria border about 10000 feet up back to 1991. He has been lying there for about 5000 years. In 2005, the mummy, sometimes referred to frozen frits, was subject to nonevisive multiple slice of computer tomography, often called CT scan. In a paper published this week in the Journal of Archeological Science on line, the scan found a lesion in the left subclavicle artery, that’s a big blood vessel underneath the clavicle and collarbone. The lesion is apparently caused by an arrowhead still lunge on iceman’s back. Modern record in such injury indicated the iceman survive for only a short time after suffering this injury. There is no stantual limitation on murder. The killer is still large. The global warming may get review from perpetual shoot dying in glacial site I am afraid.

When it happened eventually, this week’s New England journal of medicine features a brand new diagnosis, Wiiitis, which you get from over doing it with Nintendo Wii. The case involved an otherwise healthy twenty-nine year old physician woke up with (tense rise ?) shoulder pain. He consulted traumatologist who determined that the problem was acute tendon (wiiitis ?) in the (?) as one of rotator cover muscles which (advened in majorly pitching career?). Anyway the young doctor realized that (the gunner littler nuts) with this new Nintendo wii playing virtually tennis and since you are not running on the court like real tennis, you can just keep playing hour after hour after hour thereby getting wiiitis, which is spelled interestingly w-i-i-i-t-i-s. The first (tendon?) diagnosis came in 1900, but (that’s all fung injuries?) from operating kinds of games available then. With advent of wii, and virtual tennis as well as baseball, golf, balling, or even boxing, doctor should be on a lookout for all kinds of the new wiiitis possibilities.

i am not sure what the phrases should be in barkets.please check it out!

中间两个问号,第一个是不知道那个单词,第二个是连读实在太快了只能猜个大概。
