有人了解suffolk吗? 拿了会计全奖,去读吗?

拿了这个学校的最高奖. 学费还要拿6000, 还有两年的生活费自己拿. 也要20多W RMB吧.  有人了解他家吗? 我在国内.信息很少.  他家会计硕士中国人就业怎么样?

另外我还有个UVA的MSA, AD,   要花35W RMB样子.. 怎么选呢? 大家能给点意见吗? 我的目标是就业. 谢谢大家了!

Suffolk 很好，听boston的同修说过多次拉
另一所学校不了解。
不过如果选suffolk反正至少是不会吃亏的，而且有奖学金：)

首先也先恭喜hehui and yorkvan, 收到了ad, 希望下一步奖学金多多。我这两天从一些正在suffolk 念书的大陆学生、台湾学生那里了解了一下suffolk u 的情况，嗯，我觉得是名副其实的烂校，不过很奇怪的是，他每年发的奖学金还挺多还挺慷慨（我是说相对于其他学校的MPA MBA 来说）。一个从suffolk MBA 毕业的台湾学生说，suffolk 对他最大的吸引力是给了他全奖！！奇怪奇怪，真不知道烂校从哪里来的fund。下面，我把一个正在suffolk 攻读MBA的大陆学生给我的回信贴上，我觉得对我启发挺大，也希望能给后来申请者一些可以参考的资料，也呼吁所有MPA 盟友把自己了解的各种学校资料拿出来与大家一同分享。经验就是这么一步步积累的，不是吗？

Hi,

Before giving you any advice, I want to recommend that you make your goal clear.

Are you pursuing Ph.D after MPA?
Are you planning to find a job in US afterwards?
How are you going to finance your study?
What is import to you, reputation of school or a degree?

So, you really need to ponder of these questions first.

However, my suggestion is like this:

1) If you applied other schools which have better reputation, and you got admissions from those
   schools, then go there, not Suffolk.

2) If only Suffolk is available to you, then you need to consider the finance. Are you 100%
  scholarship financed or 50%. If you are 50% financed by the school, I tell you, it may not
  worth coming to Suffolk.

3) Honestly, Suffolk is not well known, since in Boston, there are Harvard, MIT, Northeaster, Bently,
  and Babson. Suffolk is not well known outside Boston either.

4) To find a job in US, I am not sure about MPA, but regarding MBA, it's crucial that you have excellent work experience to find a good job. So, if your credential for applying for a job depends solely on the degree, I tell you, Suffolk may not help you much.

5) However, one good thing about Suffolk, is the location-Boston. Here you will have many access to biz world.

Ok, so, in a word, Suffolk has no good reputation, so, don't hope your chance on the Suffolk degree. But, if you have good background (work experience, and whatever helpful experience for your career) and you only hope a US degree, then you think of coming here. Another concern is financial issue.

Hopefully, my advice somehow may help you.

哦，回pandaMM,我拿的UVA不是darden(这个院里全是MBA), 是mcintire commerce school下面的master of accounting.  

传说suffolk和业介的关系很好.  但我听说每年四大去招的人也不是很多好象:(

我很想去UVA读会计，可去不了。门槛太高了，好羡慕你啊。
这个学校好，而且和四大的安永有合作项目。挺好的。

四大去年招聘的时候,从suffolk要了3个中国人. 感觉这个数字并不太好:(

baruch去年的时候只有一个女生拿到了四大的offer(国内貌似已经有四大经验).感觉也不太好:(

去年国际学生的形势确实是不太好。

而且小印越来越吃香，很多国际学生的指标都被他们占啦。

哎 不知道明年咋样  我要去UVA的话 明年就毕业了 去SUFFOLK的话 明年年底估计也能毕业了  要找到工作,还要有H1B, 还不能有GAP, 过多少关,斩多少将...真不容易~~~~
