“The last drop of water on this planet would be our tears.” With extensive industrial development of, our life changes dramatically, however, at the same time, the capacity of existing ecosystem to resist irreversible disturbance also faces the enormous challenge. The government, with authority and ability regulating almost all aspects of our life, should also help preserve natural wildness resources.

First of all, although natural wilderness areas are accessible to very few people, they have multifunctional roles in our understanding of life. It is the original place to study organism diversity, the most suitable place to monitor and proliferate endangered species, the most attractive museum for education. Millions of millions years does the earth evolve to what it is now, each species on this planet emerged after extraordinarily long time of natural selection and competition. Although the loss of one particular species can be compensated, but just like a machine cannot functions well after losing a small accessory, the ecosystem get destroyed after all. Preserve of wilderness areas help to protect these animals from lacking food, or over hunting. Panda, a kind of white and black bear only lived in southwest part of china, is diminishing in number due to the shrinkage growth of bamboo they rely on as food. The “Wolong national natural reserve” for pandas not only helps to protect wildly born pandas, but also works as a perfect place for panda research and artificial propagation.

Secondly, numerous natural wilderness lands protect us from rain storm, blood, dissertation, or soil erosion and sweeping. The irreversible disturbance of natural balance would cause tremendous damage. For example, over cutting of the primeval forest may fulfill ligneous requirement in short term, but without those trees, the consequent mud rock flows or landslides may cause disasters. Additionally, the existing forests in the rural area near the cities would diminish the gale and bring us more clement weather. Moreover, with proper design and sustain development strategy, the government can introduce these charitable treasure to people in the form of ecotourism. These protections require tight regulation and large financial input to be truly effective which can be aided and only aided by government legislation and investment.

Admittedly, the role of government in reserving wild lands is crucial but still. The macroeconomic control sometimes may lack local specificity. For instance, the relocation of the minority residents at the severe damaged area or due to protective construction, the distribution and usage of supporting funding, the transfer of new techniques to effective tools, all of which needs modification according to domestic requirement. Additionally, local enterprise also plays a pivotal role in these wild areas’ protection, such as treatment of sewage, arrangement of inevitable pipelines, shambles clearance after movie taking or other activities, repair of damaged ground after mineral exploitation, etc. Only with conciliation from the government, the enterprises and each one of us, can we enjoy a compatible world with both bounteous natural.

The emergency and necessarily to save natural recourses is obvious and demanding and government should treat these projects as their priorities. At the same time, the society should provide guidelines for people and draw concerns from each indicial. With the endeavor from the whole society, sustainable development is no longer a dream.
