"Competition is ultimately more beneficial than detrimental to society."
I tend to agree the claim that competition is ultimately more beneficial than detrimental to society.It brings a spirit of achieving more and a feeling of nervous of lagging behind.We compete with peers , elders ,posterities to maintan our social status and earn the respect of others.As aresult of competition,the society proceeds.
The mechenism of compitition decide that the distritution of the labor and the resource.For instance ,in ancient times ,females took the domestic job while males went hunting.Everyone took the job he or she good at so that the whole society will have as much harvest as possible therefore to get enough to eat.In modern world ,we still give the job to the fit person,everyone lives on the cooperation of the whole world.We use the mechenism to find the right one to assign the job.By competition,ones with best skill remained while others may have to leave the field and search for another piece of cake.Always let the best one take the resposibility of the very job saves much of the labor and resource.
The spirits of compition spur us to improve ourselves constantly in fear of being eliminated.No one is forever a champion,if you stop to admire yourself,next time you will have to watch other’s back.That’s why the global productivity always rise,why our world record of atheletics always being refreshed.Therefore,competition also bring the motivation of the advance of the whole society.
But unrestrained competition may lead to serious consequences,such as genocide ,monoply etc.Although most people and organization try to improve themselves to get a upperhand in competition ,some one may still encumber others to guarantee his own profit.We should not treat a rival as an enemy.Beside competition,we also cooperation with our competitor.We should take competition as a global activity in which human being march forward ,instead of as a stage where people are engaged in battle.
In summary,competition have benefited and is benefiting and surely will benefit our society a lot.Despite some stigma ,it is ultimately more beneficial than detrimental to society in a comprehensive view.
