"All nations should help support the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems."

It is consentient that solutions of the most intricate international affairs on the earth should be reckoned on today’s persistent adolescents, especially university students. But the significant business is to find or engage these potential resolvers. A global university seems a shortcut whereas its feasibility is under discussion. Since it may bring us not only resolve methods but also varied inconveniences, and whether it can achieve its primary objectives properly is uncertain.

In my opinion, ironically, the foundation of a global university itself is a rather troublesome problem. As one of the obstacles, students from all nations involve of diversities society backgrounds such as cultural styles, religionary faith etc. Different conception brings dissimilar perspectives about the social affairs. We can’t demand an eastern implicative teenager to be passionate at some conservative topics like an American guy as it is impossible to image a Muslim student can talk over feminism spontaneously. What’s more, as the students are from all countries or areas, they are contained with personal affection to their motherland, if they bring their nationalistic sensation to this kind of international academic empire, around many world issues there would only be endless and senseless debates. These incompatible behaves obviously lead to a unity with a low or even no efficiency.

Another embarrassment to it is the social attitude to the graduates from this university. Our previous leader Deng Xiaoping once said:” practice is the only method to checkout the truth”. But pitifully it is not so easy for these ambitious youths to get their splendid blueprints come true for a lack of absolute and practical power, after all they are only research scholars, not powerful and deliberate politicians. In consider of self-nation’s advantage this university students’ hard work and intelligent results possibly confront with only an indifferent and inactive response from most political leaders who may take an excuse: “Do not interfere our internal business.” So granted of there is a real college of this kind, it unavoidably turns out to be a victim of complicated political interests.

To tell the truth, I don’t think these persistent social problems really need an external force as an intervenor. So many issues existed in the world are close to their local circumstance and backgrounds, for instance, the history, religions, cultures, etc. For the better solvent to them, tightly connection with these aspects can’t be neglected. We all know the continual conflicts between Israel and Palestinian forces, even the USA, a powerful and wealthy giant in the world, whose Mideast Roadmap Peace Plan hold the wishes of solving this affair gradually, are suffered a possibility of abortion, the real way is still in the hands of local citizens and leaders.

What’s more, people have neglected a fact that we have a similar organization, that is, the UN, one of the world’s largest unions aims at balancing many multinational affairs and has already achieved many objectives in human rights, security, education areas etc. in contrast with a global university, the UN assembled more specialist and academician, besides, it has obtained the whole mankind’s acceptance, that is to say, the foundation of such university is a clumsy duplicate of the UN partly, and it won’t be as effectives as the UN, too.

Consequently, it is useless to develop a university as a world issues taker which only wastes too much energy and cost. However, all nations should not escape from their own responsibilities. It is better to consider how to solve these problems efficiently and harmoniously by themselves and not settle them to an unreality school. After all their business is the most acquainted to themselves, a global university can’t assist them actually.
